Hi Dan
No connection except that this one is also from Russia. The prototype first flew September 2010.
The gear retracts forwards with the wheels disappearing in the nose compartment.
how about this (relatively new) twin amphib?
Hi Chris
That is correct, Sir.
Please surprise us.
to pump some air in the tires. How about this elegant single?
Bonjour AA π
A BIG shot in the dark. Anything to do with the Guy Mangin (or Mengin?) homebuilt of 1947?
Hi skytrain10 π
The aircraft I pictured in 1984 had no visible registration and if I remember well, it was mainly in primer and had gathered a lot of dust, standing in the open. I only found out much later that it had a completely different wing. Where N25RW had a wing with a lot of taper (one of your photos clearly shows), the “Mk.2” had a constant chord wing. Maybe the make/model of engines was also different. It seemed a real plane to me.
Hi skytrain 10, Hi wilkofife :applause:
Gentlemen, thank you for this piece of aviation history. Never realized how much was behind the “ugly” aircraft I photographed at Brown Field, San Diego, back in 1984.
Hi Mr. Merry :applause:
That is correct, Sir.
You are in control, please
This neat little one is the Jones Model 3 by Mr. Hobert Jones from AR.
Mr. Jones completed at least 5 or 6 other light planes.
Try this one, this time it is red with twin tailbooms.
Hi Kevin π
I have seen one other picture, from as slightly different angle, but not of better quality. Maybe reason for so few photos of the RB-70 may be the fact that sadly the aircraft was lost in 1973, killing the designer and 2 other members of their aeroclub.
The new WOT is mainly red.
Hi Moze π
A very rare one, this twin. The RB-70 by RenΓ© Barbaro from France. First flown 30 June 1972
Hi Kevin π
Do I understand correctly that you let work interfere with your activities on the forum? Shame on you
Hi Dan :applause:
Indeed the sole example of the IAe-30 that was completed and flown. Reportedly 2 additional airframes were scrapped prior completion as the IAe-30 project was halted.
Your turn, please
Found the key, so can now open the house :eagerness:
Rare color pic of this one.
Hi Kevin :very_drunk:
NC93K it is. I like your picture better. Coping with the temps?
