Thanks topspeed 🙂
Modest numbers built during the 30s of this 2-place (sport) amphibian.
Hi topspeed 🙂
The Edward Allenbaugh “Grey Ghost” Formula One (Goodyear) racer of 1948. Flown with pilot in “prone” position
This is F-PYOL, a homebuilt from France.
In the French register it is called the Gros-Bredelet GB-01 (also in other publications). However, strangely it shows BG-01 on the tail as per attached photo.
Builders/designers were Louis Gros and James Bredelet.
OH please !
It is from Europe
Thank you topspeed
this one-of-a-kind first flew in 1982.
my PC suddenly got a mind of his own. Name is spelled Sierra, Tango, India, Tango, Sierra.
Donot know what went wrong, but name is Ray S****.
Hi topspeed 🙂
The S**** SA-8 Skeeto by the famous Ray S****. A ultralight even before this class existed, it first flew in 1957. Understand the aircraft was tested with at least 8 different engines in the 2,5hp to 25hp range. Have no idea whether it is true, but read that the FAA only allowed flights not exceeding 50ft altitude. Originally N6048C, later N45682 and reportedly later donated to the EAA (AirVenture) Museum.
Hi Thomas 🙂
Correct The MY-103 it is !.
Please google ”aiming aero mylius my-103” for details+sites, also on the earlier MY-102 and MHK-101. You are also correct on the differences. One of the site briefly explains these differences and one photo shows all 4 examples (so far), including the 2 unflown aircraft. It seems the differences were mostly in the cockpit/canopy area.
Looks as if aiming aero has some Latin America backgrounds?
Your turn, please
Thanks Kevin, wish it is in your barn.
This one is relatively new (the design first flew 1998), but seems there is renewed interest to (finally) let it enter production. Hope they will make it available in other colors too.
One clue: 4 built initially, but only two flew before the curtain fell.
Hi Kevin 🙂
Just in case you need to cool down the swimming pool water
A veeeeery long shot. Is your twinboompusher the Bendix 51A?
Hi avion ancien:), Hi Lightning Mate 🙂
They sold it to me as the Praga E-214!
Maybe both photos show the same aircraft (type), one with wooden shoes on. There seems a lot of similarities.
May I invite AA to make life “miserable” for us?
