This (one-off) is not a homebuilt. It was more or less the basis for a production type.
Hi Mike 🙂
This is the sole Panelinha from Brasil. Developed/built by students/instructors of the ITA (Instituto Tecnològicas Aeronáutica) in São Paulo and first flown September 1962.
I have a photo with Sr. Ronaldo S. Olive (the gentleman in the picture) doing the pre-flight check holding up his right arm, hence my question.
If the registration PP-ZTN is correctly shown in your pic, we may have entered something unexplored :p
Hi Mike 🙂
Is your picture “mirrored” ?. I have seen the person being right handed.
BTW a nice and rare one, the aircraft !
Gentlemen :):)
Glad I kept you busy.
No idea what Citroen`s role was, except their rotary (Wankel) engine was intended and I assume must have been related to the rotary engine in the Citroen RE-2.
This heli was an Aerospatiale design and had the old Sud Aviation SA-370 (sometimes AS-370) designation. I`ve also seen it under the X-370 designation.
No idea why development was halted, but reasons seen included lacking market prospects and non-maturity of the engine.
Please see this link for further interesting details (stroll down a bit) on the SA-370 (X-370) and the twin engine X-375 with Fenestron tail rotor.
Open House, please

hi skytrain10 🙂
I donot know whether it is in JAWA 1973. I doubt it is in Janes at all.
If your car is French and has a rotary engine you may come near.
Will give the answer later today and a nice link with more information.
Year is 1973. This light heli was foreseen in single engine and twin engine versions with rotary engine(s) of a car manufacturer in the country of origin.
Hi Laurence 🙂
Sorry, but not an Enstrom. This one is from the old world
A helicopter. Exactly what you could expect from this manufacturer.
hi skytrain10 🙂
it worked and this unique sport aircraft is the Zalazar (Aer Quest) Nova 21 from Argentina.
A very nice article on the history of the Nova 21 can be found at hxxp://1000aircraftphotos.com/Contributions/10850.htm
Hi skytrain10 🙂
The Collins W-7 indeed, using wings, fuselage parts and tail parts of a Cessna 150. The aerofiles picture shows the Aquaflight W-6 Aqua, a design by a Mr, Wardle and it seems he was also involved in the W-7 Dipper, hence the remark on the boat hull of the Aqua being used in the Dipper.
Your turn, please
This one-of was flown in 1982. It used major components of a mass produced lightplane.
Hi skytrain 10 🙂
I think your exotic sportplane is the IPT-16 Surubim from Brazil. Designed by Hungarian-born Mr. Joseph Kovacs and built by a team of the IPT (Secão de Auronáutica do Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas de Universidade do São Paulo)
First flight 1959 and now (as Surubim Modificao, with fixed rather than retractable gear) in the Brazilian AF Museum (Museu Aeroespatial, Rio de Janeiro)
Hi Skytrain 10 🙂
The Robin X-4 it is! Somewhat unusual for Robin, it had a mixed “plastic”
(fuselage), wood/fabric (wings) and metal (tail) construction.
Your turn, please
this one-of-kind was built for test and R&D purposes.
Hi Al! 🙂
The P-110 (or Cp-110) it is.
Your turn please
