Erm.. (cough) .. I actually wrote all mine out two weekends ago!! 😮

As I have 300 customers to send cards to, and I have a period of 5 weeks to get them out, I have written all my work ones (did it at the beginning of November) and so far about 150 of them have gone out. And I am still finding new customers that need cards.

Out of the 150ish that have gone out, I have received 4 back from customers, I think the first one received was 17 November.

Haven’t yet written out the family/friends cards.

Apparently she is due to take off at 8am tomorrow.

Also apparently Mr Delta is making noises about setting off very early to go and take photos!

In the weird are of Burnley, we have claret wheelie for rubbish (collected once a fortnight and no side waste allowed and your lid HAS to close properly), a brown wheelie for garden waste (not collected between October and March), a blue box for tins, glass and plastic bottles (no other type of plastic allowed) a hessian sack type thing for paper and claret plastic bags for cardboard.

Rubbish one week, recycling the other, no limit to the amount of recyclable stuff you can put out, but woe be tide you put too much general rubbish out (apparently is classed as fly tipping and you will be fined)

Haven’t seen any Virgin decals, but he did manage to get his hands on a set of BOAC decals, so he did one like that, it looked pretty good, but it’s at his house and I don’t have a photo.

Was weird seeing a Concorde with a blue nose!

This (hopefully) demonstrates what I mean about the fit….

It’s also not to good where the body parts join together, the fit is crap (my other half’s words not mine) I think he has built about 5 so far, they do require some fillering where they join. Check all fits before you glue!

He also said that the red tail decals are the easiest ones to apply.

We also had one do a test flight and the nose doesn’t cope very well with this.

Just received this from the Manchester Avaition Society email list….

Just heard on London 131.050/126.875 that EDI is closed for around 30 mins due to heavy Snow fall.

Mr Delta headed to Manchester this am, got there in time for the C17A that landed at 8.15. He’s on the south side, says it’s very cold (duh!) also quite foggy, apparently it’s even foggier down south so there could well be some diversions in Man today.

And yes he has his thermals on too! 😀

Thanks all for the help, I think he has plumped for some programe called Elements 4 (I think it’s a not all singing/dancing Photshop)

I did offer him use of the editing software that came with my poxy little Olympus point and click, but he declined, though he has just gotten himself a very expensive Nikkon, guess he could do with checking the software out 🙂

Hey well done on the pass.

LBA good luck for the theory.

My status…. er been out on the 50mph road near me a couple of times, got over taken at 45mph, went slightly over the 50, but managed to slow down for the speed camera, so far haven’t been able to go out since as the car has either been 8 miles away (with the ‘instructor’, who has been too occupied to assist) or he’s naffed off down the country and left the car here!

    Haven’t attempted to reverse yet.

Some numpty in a bus decided to overtake me as I was just about to turn right! Luckilly I saw him in my mirror and stopped. I mean, I was on the right of my side of the road, indicating right and opposite a road (the one I was turning into) how much indication of my intentions did I have to give!
