A solid bit of advice.

This is becoming very childish and all rather tedious.

I joined this forum for serious debates and increase my knowledge of our aviation heritage and at the same time hopefully help others.

With surreal posts like above, I find myself getting increasingly disillusioned.

I do not feel we are doing the memory of those who served and died any justice by continuing this type of debate.

This is one of my few posts to this site. I have been watching the various emotive posts over the past few days and can honestly say that you are both not doing your credibility any good by the monotonous and mundane banter you have started to post.

I have the greatest respect for you both and your work in the aviation field; I have in fact ALL your published books.(given that I am an ardent Bomber Command researcher, that’s not half bad. 🙂 !!) However, please please stop the tedious posts.

I understand the need to answer loaded questions and insulting posts, sometime as recently mentioned here in the UK, the silence can be defending.

I only wish debates on Bomber Command aircrew could receive such interest. 😮

I live in an area that up until 1999 was in the context of living in or near any city of a similar size rather quite and peaceful.

In the ensuring 6 years, over 3,000 eastern European migrants/immigrants (local council figures) have been resettled in my area.

The figures for burglary have increased by 18%, car theft, and 34% attacks/muggings 57%. The local police have admitted they cannot cope; we now have a problem with drugs in this area.

The ONE common denominator is the 3000 eastern Europeans recently ‘moved’ in. I was not asked if I want them, they have travelled half way across Europe, ignoring other countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and Holland.

These people were forced upon my community, we were not asked. And before you give me the old chestnut, I’m racist, I’m married to an Indian girl who happens to have been born in our community and raised and shares the same horror and fear that other “whites” do.

DON’T PREACH TO THOSE OF US WHO HAVE TO LIVE WITH YOUR WIMS.
