watched the movie on opening night locally, with the rest of the 10-12 other filmgoers!!! quite powerful film, i almost cried.
the other Theater Complex from across had to play Da Vinci’s Code, that’s why nobody took United 93 seriously.
why can’t both US Military or Commercial Airports work together?
“Zhukov121”
…what can i say?! friggin’ good pics!!!
“Steve Rush”
-friggin’ insane fighter jocks!!! great video clips!!!
no Tornado IDS versions?! what about the classic FB-111?!
i agree with others voting for the F-15E Strike Eagle. it carries almost every imaginable weapons for all mission specifications. the Su-32 / Su-34 if it ever gets into production, and the latest F-16E/F Desert Falcon.
from the 1950s, B-29 / B-36 motherships with micro-fighters.
i must agree that the Hawk is a very versatile trainer, and it matured into different variants throughout the years. guess that’s when other aircraft manufacturers started to ‘copy-cat’ it’s features, as mentioned by BIGVERN1996. it’s like there are no more original design features, anymore, with today’s jets.
i wonder if the Yak-130/M-346 should be included as single-seater with a small radar and with weapons, just like the Hawk? i remember the MiG-AT was proposing a single-seater, too, with a radar before it lost to Yak-130 for Russian jet trainer competition.
P-47 Thunderbolt…
it was during my elementary school years that i got interested with military aircraft, and my first love was the P-47 Thunderbolt while going through some military/aviation history books. after that, it was almost every type throughout the years.
then came along the MiG-29 Fulcrum (from news media in 1986), and the Fulcrum has been my favourite military aircraft ever since then.
here are the following lists before Fulcrum…
P-47 Thunderbolt / A-4 Skyhawk
F-105 Thunderchief / F-4 Phantom II
F-15 Eagle / CF-188 Hornet
MiG-29 Fulcrum ( -SMT & -K variant )
-hey, nice pics of Buccaneer & Viggen, including the Draken.
Mark Johnston
thanks for helpful info…
but the T-50? looks too big a trainer to me. it’s design features is more like a cross-between from F-16/F-18, or a deformed F-16 (no disrespect, though). nice advanced design from both Korea & US, though.
what about the T-50? was it developed by US & Korea? is it in production now? or that they’re making the same mistake like they did with the F-20 Tigershark…
“pesho”
WOW!! never heard of the Tu-125 bomber from the Soviets. was that a copy of XB-70? similar roles? thanks for posting the pic…
what about ‘boxy’ -shaped intakes, like the Eurofighter’s… are they considered wedge-type of the 90’s (or 80s when first designed)? J-10 from China?
nice ‘curves’ from the Eurofighter…
and the Fulcrum’s intakes? that’s the reason why it was my first ‘crush’ when that pic first came out, and been my all-time great since then…
so A-5 Vigilante was actually the first jet with wedge-type intakes. i always thought the Foxbat was the first one, but i guess i was wrong. yeah, it does still looks good today…
