Could this be a RMAF CH-47C? The site where I found it said ”an army helicopter over Moroccan desert ( circa 1999)”. From the looks of that camo I believe it is one!!!

If you turn to http://www.scramble.nl/ma.htm you will see more F-5s but also other aircraft as well as a nice overview of the airbases AND a database with all the aircraft of the Royal Moroccan Air Force. And no, There are NO F-16’s 🙂

    Here is the map

    Have fun!

Well to tell you the truth I don’t believe in the RMAF F-16s. You have to see it to believe it………………..

That was such a nice response Dan thanks for that. you have to agree with me that the Western Sahara was illegally occupied by Morocco according to international law, UN resolutions etc. I am moral superior due to my believe in International law and in the UN then so be it.

So it was illegally occupied by Morocco but not by Spain just because there was no UN then? Oh go and cry it out with your ” I believe in International Law”. Your position is not going to change it and if we want to masacre them we will. you occupied Indonesia yourselfs illegally, but wait there was no UN so its okay…………

    Nice pictures!

Regarding the Morrocan Air Force´s future purchase of a new fighter,

Wasn´t there a deal for Morocco to get F16A´s sponsored by Saudi money 10 years ago?

The problem I see regarding the purchase is that Morocco can not afford buying a replacement for their ageing F-5´s and Mirage F1´s.

Compared to Algeria Morocco doesn´t have Natural Gas reserves.

    Only Tourism, Fishing and Phosphates.

There were plans to buy some 20 F-16A/Bs in 1992 but due to lack of money ( Sahara war just came to an end in 1991 ) the deal could not be finalised.

At this time Morocco can’t afford to buy new jets, but I hope that Morocco can get some financial support from Saudi Arabia or the UAE.

Algeria does have great oil and gas fields but Morocco also has oil and gas field but they are not as big as those of Algeria. A recent oil field find contained 20 billion barrels of oil and not too far away from the oil field a gas field was found too. I want Morocco to go looking for oil in our waters.

Doesn’t the huge power produced by the engines of the Foxbat and Black bird kill the engines?
