Does the FAP use older MiG-29As? If so are there plans to upgrade them?

The ROCAF has 960 MICA missiles for its Mirage 2000-5s.
But if that inventory is correct…………they sure had a bad policy during their shopping spree.

I just love those MiG-29 Fulcrum-Cs of Peru, nice camo, makes a nice combination with the Mirage 2000.

Got pics of them together or just seperate?

    Very good pics.

Now that Algeria has started an arms race I wonder when Morocco and Libya will react to that.

And to Ink: Algeria houses Polisario which recently threatened with terrorist acts in Morocco, should they do so war is inevitable and so we would have to breach Algerian borders and thats where Algeria is waiting with its more advanced armed forces. I think its to intimidate its neighbours.

I wonder what Spain is thinking, Algerian AF MiG-25 flew recce missions over Spain.

Well it is a tiny country ( I geuss the size of Tunisia ) so I would have heavily invested in EW systems both on the ground and in the air ( EC-2 Hawkey 2000 ) to get some notice before they breach the borders. But because they already had a war and the nation is rich I would fight my war like this:

First line of defence AAA ( self propelled preveribly ), behind it Tunguska M-1s and as a last line of defence the S-300PMU. As it is better to loose a AAA canon or APC than a multi million dollar jet. As for fighters, I would go for the Su-30MK for both GA and dog fighting. They of course take of at the moment of breaching the border by the enemy and hold a bit back to give the SAMs ( M-1s ) time to do their jobs should they fail, the jets attack.

S-300 is more like for areas that are of stategic importance and for sensitive areas.

As for naval engagement; Land based Anti-ship missiles, and the mighty Su-34 to attack targets out of range of the land based missiles. Su-34 should also be used in the AG role.

I have another question, each time that I see a carrier on TV ( during wars and peace time ) I always see the carrier escorted by destroyers, attack frigates, subs. Could a carrier ( lets say a Nimitz class carrier ) operate on its own, taking out enemy surface vessels or subs ( without the use of AGM-88 Harpoon armed F-18s etc. ?

Oh but we had that too in the Netherlands, Arthur….a F-16 pilot collided in mid-air with a light aircraft, both were destroyed. Only the fighter pilot escaped……………..women behind the wheel……………….uh I mean stick. 🙂

Listen, if it were a hijacked Boeing or Airbus heading for Washington, then it’d be ALL our problem, one way or another….

    Thats true.

SAMs are the better choise, cost effective, fast, kills with deadly accuracy.

I thought that after 9/11 they made it impossible for any plane to come near, but I did not know the airport was that close to the WH.

Oh well, its their problem not mine.

Well, one might want crash them ( highly unlikely ), cuz I believe Mark9 has no interest what so ever in any internal bleedings, fractures, ruptures in the spleen etc.

If you were granted one wish…………..just wish you can wish for all eternity… 😀

Since we are allowed to say what ever we want……………..the last emperor of Morocco Moulay Ismael had according to unofficial sources 1042 children, 700 boys and 342 girls and after every breakfast he went out in the city and decapitated pedestrians when ever he felt like doing so. 😮 Disgusting.

Maybe they should station a AV-8B+ with AMRAAMs in the front ”garden” of the White House or the Capitol. That would be a quick response.

I can’t believe some one made it that far! The Americans should question themselves, what if it was a jumbo?
