Do I detect a little envy from someone who doesn’t have a stealth fighter of their own?

Several years ago there were Western news stories that Bin Laden was hiding in Northwest China. Did the US take him out then? Myth… busted.

Don’t need the Chinese to come over and take pictures and take skin samples. Or does the Western media think that’s a top secret skill too? I especially love the part from the anonymous Pentagon source that he couldn’t confirm it happened. And you wonder how Murdoch taps phones and the New York Times has journalists that fake articles coming from places they never been to before.

So what happened to all the experts who claimed China was going to invade Taiwan while the US was preoccupied with Iraq and Afghanistan? Maybe because they were planning to invade Russia instead because Jack Ryan said so. Oh that hasn’t happened either.

As I scroll through the board Ive noticed something.
Do many foreign militaries really believe some of the things that are posted here? things like :

* stealth is obsolete?
* the U.S. will be a ineffective air power in a few years?
* The U.S. has never fought a credible opponent?
* The F-22 is worthless*
* the Rafale and typhoon are in the same generation as the F-35*

Wouldn’t it be a huge advantage if a hostile enemy had a total disregard for U.S. air power? isn’t this attitude the same one usually found in a bungling dictatorship after they have been pounded with rolling air strikes?
Examples:

* 1989 in the Gulf of Sydra, Libyan mig pilots are clueless of there disadvantages versus the Tomcat
* Serbian Mig-29 pilots shot down by F-16s.
*Iraq and Saddam Hussein underestimating the advantage of the F-117 and U.S. fighter in general during the 1st GW.
* Iraq trying to use Russian GPS jammers to jam U.S. smart weapons. The jammers where killed by GPs guided bomds.
* Ill even throw in how the iraqis thought that The U.S. would be afraid to use urban warfare In GW 2*

I’m i would really like it personally if the Chinese had no respect for U.S. tech or air power, and sent 20 Sukkoi fighters at 20 F-22 raptors during a Taiwan flare up.

Who gives a sh*t about if according to you no one gives respect to US airpower? BTW is that some sort of crime because you seem to want to punish someone for it? Love how the people who hide behind freedom want to punish people for having certain thoughts without their approval.

But who anywhere doesn’t think US air power is number one? I love how Americans create their own fake outrage. And then they want to punish someone else because they’re outraged by the disrespect given to them they created in their own minds.

Also all the offenses you pointed to are from many of your own allies. Shouldn’t you want to pick a fight with your own allies with the advanced technology to make your point? That doesn’t make sense. But then you’re outraged by your own fake outrage.

I truly think Indonesian Muslim factor would stop this idea dead!
Indonesia loves playing this card when ever it can. Especially when it gives it world-wide recognition by the rest of the Muslim world!!

What about Taiwan & Israeli partnership?
Politically, Taiwan has and is being snookered more and more as the PRC bets more economically, politically and militarily larger and powerful. Unfortunately (and sadly!) the United States is turning the supply line off and on that many times to appease the waking dragon!
Taiwan and Israel once had a great military development relationship (until Israel burnt Taiwan for big and better $$ things in PRC:mad:)

Israel had been (and should be more than useful in being shafted i.e firstly by Britain, then France, and when it suits it, the United States! How and why it has tolerated this, I have never been able to get my head around (apart from the U.S $$$$$$$$)

With the changing world climate these days (anyone willing to sell the most advanced technology to anyone!) – for who would ever have thought Greece would be buying and fielding major Soviet/Russian weapons and equipment or Russia wanting to purchase French designed & made amphibious assault ships (although the French wiliness is of no surprise or shock!:dev2:). The more than ever open arms market could be lucrative for a Taiwanese/Israeli 5th Generation fighter in terms of sales to recuperate R&D costs!
The major stumbling block for this project would be that which has flouted every other Israeli aircraft export potential – the use of American engines!
Again this could be bypassed if Israel and Taiwan are willing to use Russian engines (or perhaps more wisely, incorporate into the design a multi-engine capability! This would allow Israel and Taiwan to use preferred advanced U.S engines, and offer Russian engines in export variant (although this may be the only option for Taiwan, if the U.S continues to shaft and squeeze it!!)

Taiwan & Israel both have the security and political reasoning!
Combined they have the technological knowledge and know how in production, aerodynamics, weapons, avionics and sensors!!

That’s funny reading. Yeah and the arms door opens for every enemy of Israel. Maybe some people forget (or are in denial of) a little missile that knocked out a Sa’ar 5 recently. They won’t be so little and numerous in number the next time.
