Seems like a realistic comparison to me. The Flanker is the IAFs most important, and hence most threatening to PAF, asset.
The JF-17 is becoming the mainstay of the PAF, as far as new birds are concerned.Unfortunately for the PAF both the numerical and the performance analysis does not favor it here.
And it only takes one AAM to take down any fighter.
Yeah and an experienced pilot in a lesser aircraft beats an inexperienced pilot in a greater aircraft. Chuck Yeager once said the Pakistani pilots were very good.
Of course it has to be a MKI vs JF-17 because the more appropriate matching would be LCA vs. JF-17. The reason why not says it all. And I’m talking realistically not the one on paper. Anyone can make a fighter superb on paper.
I guess one needs an expert eye to see it.
If you’ve never seen the missile before you’d probably wouldn’t recognize its distinct feature which is what one will see in the picture.
Love the denial. Before this Edward Snowden guy surfaced the US denied doing such things and now we know it’s a lie. What else is being lied about? Now people are trying make excuses how which spying is wrong or right. Yeah before it was all wrong because the US didn’t commit the crime as to the hypocrisy of pointing the finger at others. I saw an article that showed US NSA spying by country. The US spies on Germany just as much as China. Now why would they spy on Germany when it’s an ally. Yeah it’s called industrial espionage. Another thing they said the US doesn’t do.
I think Iranians would have already made several stealth fighters as well if they’d been able to steal all US important stealth fighter data as the chinese have. I bet these stealth are built by forced labor on prisoncamps by Falun Gong movement jailed folks.
Tell me the ruddervators are not copied from Raymers design enclosed.
The Falun Gong are anti-science so they wouldn’t know how to put together a plane.
The context of who says it says a lot. So of course it was meant as an insult because history says so.
That’s called moving the goal posts because the people that were arguing bigger were saying it was F-111 size big. To which people were arguing that the J-20 wasn’t meant for A2A. Now that it’s probably shorter than a Flanker, that argument loses steam. To which now those that argued bigger spin it to say they were just saying it was bigger than a Raptor. Yeah right.
“Printing” out titanium ain’t like squirting out ink from a jet printer. You need a high amount of heat and what do you think are lasers?
J-31 is a 5th Gen aircraft not 4th. Get your facts right, i also don’t understand what you mean by the Typhoon being the top 3 of the 3rd Gen area.
No in China it’s considered 4th gen. What’s 5th to the West and Russia is 4th in China. They’re going by their level of development.
How about it’s simply not the final design.
It could be an option for countries seeking freedom from ITAR / US restrictions.
No because the ones that are good enough will have US/European components thus will not be sold to countries without permission from the countries where those components come from. Like they would allow a competing fighter to win sales when they can veto the deal? The ones that don’t have US/European components won’t be as good.
Why do you keep hiding behind a new identity, Hotdog?
Another sign of serious denial are people who can’t stand to hear the truth that they don’t want to hear it and rather hear something that sounds better to comfort them. Denial does endanger American security. Just like before 9-11 people thought such an attack would never happen in the US. Voila.
Haven’t developed anything? What about China’s micro satellite that was launched from one of its unmanned Shenzhou missions. It displayed maneuverability that the US hasn’t achieved yet. It was one of the things Reagan’s SDI could only dream of. The US can’t really claim it was stolen since it’s doing maneuvering capabilities the US is still having trouble mastering. But yet it’s claimed automatically as stolen.
I don’t why there’s denial of denial in the US. It’s just like the recent events of the new Bay Bridge in San Francisco. They recently discovered bad quality bolts that need to be replaced that are estimated to cost up to $10 million. People are saying this is an example of bad quality steel from China. What most of the news is not reporting is the bolts were made in the USA. But even when informed, people still want to believe they’re from China. The reason why people are in denial over this is the same reason why the Pentagon mistakenly underestimates all the time. American culture of denial should be seen as a national security threat.
Of course the US underestimates China’s capabilities. Look at the latest report on China’s military. It basically says everything China develops is stolen from the US through cyber espionage. That basically covers all their future mistakes because if they underestimate again that’s because it had to have been stolen. It also covers everything China develops on its own. So if something new pops up even though no one else has it, they can always say China stole it from them.
