Thanks very much lads!
Now back to Manchester for the russian invasion 😀
Danny
Hope you enjoy your trip out. I expected more from it but definately enough to keep an enthusiast interested out there!
Had you been there today there would have been a decent feast of Russian charters.
I regret not taking my camera now today, although not sure on the fence hole sizes and / or rules on taking photos from the staff Car Park!
Great shots though, always nice to see!
Mark.
Now I’m earning money, I’m looking to upgrade my PC to run FSX.
Just wondering what your vital statistics (of your PC that is!) are to run FSX, what kind of framerates/scenery settings you get out of it as well.
If you don’t mind that is!

That doesn’t surprise me one bit.
Work this week have seen numbers decline and flights regularly cancelled.
Rather you than me attempting transatlantic as a day (or few days) trip, but a great report and some fantastic pictures!
Or ‘British Only Sometimes’…:diablo:
“Beyond Oxford’s Silly”
Shouldn’t have cut back at MAN, apart from sharing check-in desks with EZY I can’t see many problems.
I hear the staff their passengers deal with are delightful! :diablo:
Depending on where that photo is taken (not worked there long enough to decide) it’s either returned or stayed on, or another aircraft is way out on a remote.
There’s a somewhat slight hope/hint/sway towards Rangers getting into the final this season at MAN on account that having a UK team in the final may mean less supporters travelling by air to the City of Manchester Stadium! 😀
If today is owt to go by, those going to the likes of Exeter, Knock etc will be around for a while at MAN as they seem to be rather popular!
Thanks for the replies.
Guess I should have been consentrating on the road rather than looking up into the blue lol.
Nah, keep your head in the clouds! 😎 As long as you don’t crash it’s all good!
Hi all, back after a lengthy absence and now working for Manchester Airport in T3!
It seems (from reading Pprune mostly) that the competition from the US airlines may have brought about the end of the BA flight, not to mention bmi with it’s links via the Star Alliance with United etc.
The downsizing of BA at Manchester has been naturally dramatic, but outside of the somewhat monopolosied London airports, just where can they fight toe-to-toe with other operators in the UK?
Seems to me that British Airways are merely retreating to where they can operate a comfortable profit.
Oh yes…please excuse the duck tape….we ran out of time to thermobond the two fuselage sections!
I, as part of my university degree…BEng (Hons) Aerospace technology was part of a group developing a glider.
Unfortunately for some bizzare reason the uni decided that they should launch from what was practically speaking, a slingshot. Sadly the models did nothing but stall upon launch!
Many a weird and wonderful “model” built purely from theoretical design and aerodynamic theory:

Our design, the ultimate winner…just!
