Thats what you get for flying bmi…

BA all the way…no tech issues and a lovely smooth flight to add to it though I thought a rather bizzare approach into BHX

No we were in the centre of Paris, nearest metro was Pigalle. About 10 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord ish.

My map reading skills are excellent so no problems there…main issue was the language barrier to be honest. I dont speak a word of French and my dad is fluent. unfortunately he’s quite good at ignoring things, e.g. when a French security guard was going on about my bag (this was in a supermarket). I was deserpately looking round for my dad who turned and said “what?”

Apparently the security guard gave up once he realised I was foreign. Single european community my rear end…

I hate that airport, im going Eurostar next time!

Lol small world isn’t it…i was the ginger haired fool dragging my dad around who was complaining about everything and I was taking photos of many an Air France aeroplane seeing as barely anything else taxiied past!

Really small world, my hockey captain was two rows behind me (I was 8f)…and I never realised until the end of the flight! What a lovely approach though!

Hey, you must have been in the same queue as John and myself, we were at B26 ? We got shunted to make way for AF to Bucharest a couple of times too, before I was then made to explain to security why my bag contained a shed load of batteries… 😮

Either of you the one with the british airways bag? :D. They were the only people I recognised as spotters in the gate area!

Doesn’t beat me on the way out on friday…Im in the ATC and had had a weekend camp with the cadets. Completley forgot my cheap penknife in my bag. Naturally was stopped by the security bag and searched.

    The first thing out…

Volume 1 of the Thome flying manual series…boy did I get a dodgy look!

T2 for me and DME as well, what a sh*thole that is… 😮

    Lovely situation this afternoon.

Gates erm, think it was B25 and B26 had our flight to brum and one to Bucharest. I think it was 4 times I was stopped at the x-ray machine to let people through who were late for their flight. Irritating *******…deserved to miss their flight to be honest.

Anyone else think in terms of Company-Public relations Paris was a bit naff? When I went to Farnborough companies were happy to speak to the public etc etc. Alot (saturday) had seemed to have packed up and left!

My goodness peoples, look out of the window…talk to another passenger, read the inflight mag or quite simply just take a real good book!

This could be being confused with the fact that some bmi flights from heathrow are now single class…in line with the bmi baby business style. Correct me if im wrong 😀

Tis £3 for 1 hour…you can get £2 back if you buy something from the bar (which I did, a lovely refreshing pint).

Anyone who wishes to spend the day there, my advice get the train! The pub is only about 10ish minutes walk at the most from T3.

    I wouldn’t say that a digital camera is even a must…

Of course it means people can come back here after a day out at the airport and instantly upload photos, but that doesn’t meant the medium is the one and only. I do have a fuji finepix S5500 (not sure if thats right…think it is) but also carry a Canon EOS 300V. I cant afford a digital camera but am quite happy using film. Its never failed me before so, why replace it now :).

Last time I went there it cost me a flipping fortune. Really is expensive to park down there. Though to be honest not much worse then the airport car parking!

Oooo…off there today for a few hours to keep me occupied 😀
