Swizz – you have to be a UK resident! Unfair to expats!
Just discovered a BAPC register list in the back of my 14th edition of Wrecks & Relics; it includes a considerable number of replicas, mock-ups etc.
And this is a Canadian “rabbit” (at the Calgary Air Museum) . . .

Make the most of this year’s European air shows, folks, there will never be any more of this ilk! Looks like I will have to make a USA trip every year in the future!
A video to treasure for ever!
Thank you so much for the link, whalebone.
Nice site, Jochen, although a bit empty at the moment . . .
Corrected spelling/grammar:
“Here you can find a list of events that the team will attend. Please note that the list is provisional. Any participation may be cancelled due to such unforeseen reasons as technical problems, bad weather, …”
I hope you don’t mind my corrections, see you at LFA perhaps?

Just to throw this thread even further off track – the latest ship built here, launched a year ago, and with enough guns to blow any wimpy modern frigate out of the water! She is scheduled to sail to China next year, perhaps as an intimidation tactic!
Hi Ja, pressure of work has meant my aviation season starts late this year! Hence the ships instead. I start off at Le Ferte Alais in a couple of week’s time. AS far as I know the Tunnan is still awaiting a new engine, but others will know much more than I do.
Cheers, Peter

What was the reason for being short of rudders – were they prone to in-flight damage, i.e. perhaps due to a design flaw?
Apropos sunburn, when I was posted to Bahrain in 1968 we were warned most severely that to report sick with sunburn would be a punishable offence! I very quickly learned that you can get a nice tan through clothing – and while living on the French Riviera for 9 years a while ago I only took my shirt off outdoors to go swimming!
Many thanks, Wanshan, that was a perfect answer!
I also presume there is some sort of exercise going on – the Swedish Navy is notable by its absence – but I don’t think they have any warships left, have they?
It looks as if I should switch from historic aircraft to naval ships, which would be a logical choice since I live next to the port here!
#2 – SteveO, there’s not much French there! The page is under construction, and shows “flying saucers”.
Would look good as Air Force One!
