A lucid description of the experimental physics that led to the Cold War – I understood every word and couldn’t put it down!

The nosewheel retracted sideways into the fuselage and could only do it if it was displaced to one side (by 2 feet (61 cm) as it happens).
I have a nice diagram but no time to scan it just now.
