Unfortunately SE-EBI is not on public display, listed as stored.
Perhaps when the Gothenburg Aeroseum is officially opened next year (by which time I hope to be a voluntary guide there) we can persuade the powers that be to move it to the Aeroseum for restoration. I will at least propose this at our next meeting.

Rickenbacker gate guardians
Thanks for the quick reply, curlyboy.
On almost the same subject, here are the “official” ANG gate guardians outside the tanker base.
All my own pix can now go into the dustbin!
I’m green with envy at the pylon-huggers!
While in the USA recently I had the opportunity (I forget exactly where) to knock on a V-1 wing (which was definitely covered in sheet metal) and also ask (at Udvar-Hazy), one of the attendants about the “Loon” wing covering (the “Loon” being an American-built copy of the V-1). Although not 100% certain, he thought the wing covering was metal.
I met MikeJ there, and he had a press pass for the pylons and a drainpipe lens – come on, Mike, let’s see some of your pics! I was only in the pits and in the bleachers myself, max. 200 mm lens and no image stabilisation. Freezing cold on the Thursday but by Sunday it was scorching!
Sea Vixens at Yeovilton
Taken at Yeovilton around 1961 – could this be Simon’s Sircus?
September Fury
Another picture, just to make sure . . .

Sorry, that’s September Pops!

I have . . .
Just back myself from Washington, Smithsonian and Udvar-Hazy, allow at least a day for each!
I have been 3 times to the Smithsonian on the Mall, and still find new treasures! 4 hours at Udvar-Hazy was just enough time to scoot all the way round but only photograph about one quarter of the contents, which all extremely historic.
Merlin’s Magic
Before it happened . . .
I am unable to scan pictures just now, but there is a photo and 3-view of the 545 on pages 397 and 398 of “The British Fighter since 1912” by Francis K Mason 1992 edition.
