Andy, remember that I snaffled the Putnam Vickers at Le Ferte? According to that book, there never was a Vickers Type 22 (there’s a gap between 19 and 23); and nothing else depicted in the book even comes close to the aircraft in question!
To me it looks suspiciously similar to a Bleriot.

Was it still 5 bob (25p in new money) to get in to the SBAC Show? Makes your eyes water nowadays!

Moggy. while I am not Swedish I do live in Sweden, and admit that they did some things during the war of which they are not too proud today. However at least Raoul Wallenberg tried to make up for it, and there were the “white buses” near the end of the war. Not to mention the supply of ball bearings to the UK which perhaps offset their export of iron ore to Germany.
Having got that off my chest, now please bear in mind that Ingvar Kampråd, the owner and founder of IKEA, is a consummate businessman, some would say without a soul, so that I think commercial interest would be his and IKEA’s only consideration.
This brings me to the conclusion that the tower is doomed.
Great news!

I’m fortunate enough to have my office 10 feet away from my aviation library! It certainly helps with quick responses!
I would say 1935, the last Hendon show, since all these aircraft appeared at that show (list on page 22 of “40 years at Farnborough”)
