Boats I have known!
My first boat was a 18ft Bayliner with a Volvo inboard engine and would do about 30mph on a good day,I had this for over two years and only bought two fan belts and a battery for it!Was in the Caribbean where I was working and had many enjoyable outings as well as my scuba trips.Returning to the UK I got the urge again and found boats a lot more expensive than my pocket would allow.I ended up with a 25 year old fishing boat with twin perkins diesels ,mooring was expensive at first but what finally got me was as I was working away a lot the topsides being plywood detiorated very quickly and maintenance costs soared! Then she was holed and engines had to come out and be cleaned etc !!Shortly after she was sold for half the price ,lesson learned ,no more wooden boats!!Now retired in Thailand with a GRP boat and a 225HP Honda on the back gives 45mph on a flat day! That’s my wife disporting herself,an added attraction!!
I still have the file with the list of members(BNP),browse it from time to time but do not recognize anyone I know!!
I worked on Varsities for five years at RAF Oakington before I left the RAF and then went to Little staughton working on the same Varsities for another six months before joining the power industry.Fed up with them by then! There was a Valleta that arrived on the fire dump so my friend and I went to have a look and the whole fuselage inside was full of old generators starter motors and other sundry electrical gear!!Oh Ho we thought ,Copper galore!!Our plans were thwarted by our friendly snowdrop who said never darken its door again ,or words to that effect!!So all that gear ended up getting burnt ,probably a mound of copper there somewhere!!!
thought all radios had presets, makes it easier.Personaly I switch mine of when driving .Nothing is tha important it cant wait until I have a pit stop.
I thought there was a jamming device on the market for mob phones? That would be great!Come to Thailand and see practically everyone using mobiles ,even motor cyclists !!!!
Bit flimsy for an engine bearer?
Looks exactly like the 1960s type we used ,except the cable was an all in one black covered one.Bugg..s to tow as well ,if more than three they would snake !Ours were painted Blue ,yellow came in c1967.
There is a breed of cat called a Coon Maine ,shall we rename them?!!!
Blackbird eggs.
Maybe the government needs to make a fact finding tour of a typical third world country and see how the poverty stricken get by without benefits?Of course your average third world citizen does not have a mortage or pay taxes etc.Thats because they live in grass huts and have no work. However there are a lot who are enterprising and find a way to keep their heads up.Mind you Europe has to many rules and regs that would stop UK citizens from doing he same. Yes I live in a so called third world country and see how enterprising people can be to survive.
Saw “Noah”on Monday and no ah didn’t like it at all .Thought it a terrible movie and very boring.
See the “Daily telegraph “article by Michael Rifkind on Farage and then read the comments!!Explains a lot. I hope the other parties get a real shock by UKIP in the next election ,Nigel should shake things up a little!!

Taken with my old Nkokia mobile so sorry for the quality! There was another that I missed a light twin with a thin tail boom with large fin and rudder painted in Thai colours ,probably thai air force.Really nice place to spot from with good Thai food and cold beer!!!
So about this airfield that’s closing down?We as an island need to grow more of our own food so close it and return it to farming land, and all the other airfields no longer needed instead of turning them into industrial estates or new towns for our immigrants to live in.
Back in the fifties I lived near the address on that list.About two miles from it!There where some ittinerants(gypsys)camped in a lane near our house and after they left there was a load of rubbish left behind and I remember having two black boxes one in MPH and the other one I forget ,obviously off aircraft so there is an element of truth in this!Alot of mining in this area also.
