Was it not recently in the headlines that we(UK)stop giving aid to India in 2015?David Cameron also said recently that it is right and proper we should help poorrer nations!So why has the UK a problem with the economy!

The reason why

I am in the middle of a book called “Men of Air”,it is about Bomber command .It should be compulsary reading for anyone who was against the memorial or any recognition.

First

One year into training as a boy entrant at St Athan and one boreing saturday afternoo three of us were walking about the camp and heard airoplane noises from the airfield near our classrooms.On investigating we found thre “Ansons “giving air experience flights to ATC cadets ,we thought this was a bit off as we were already in the mob so we approached the officer in charge and he very kindly let us go on the last flight.I can remember the three of us cheering like mad as the wheels left the ground and we roared(!!!)off to west of the camp and ended up circling Port Talbot steelworks and then all three ansons started to engage each other as if they were fighters!!What an experience ,on our return we could not stop talking about our afternoon to friends who were so jealous!!Still got one more flight two weeks later !!
Next was a MK3 Shackelton followed by a MK1 and then a Lincoln !!Great days !!!

Tank

Not the Shack galley tank ,that was a larger capacity and held up by straps.Dont think its a glycol tank either that was a shaped tank (all this from memory!!)

I see nobody has mentioned the cost of the armed services!!Time to retrench to defence as it means ,not go round attacking people like Iraq and Afhganistan !

Loans

Couple of weeks ago when the Argentine gov were going on about the FALKLANDS again there was a news article about how much they owe the IMF and the fact thay could not and will not pay them back!I think the stirring up of the FALKLANDS is just a smoke screen to hide all their domestic problems.
