Hi everyone
It has been a while since Iβve last l last logged in so apologies to those that have messaged me and havenβt had a reply.
I popped to my mums last week and picked up 3 albums of photos, there are many more hunter photos as well as a quite a few of friends and colleagues out and about in Oman, I expect a few of you could well be in the photos.
I need to find another source for hosting photos since photo bucket now want $300 a year for the privilege.
Anyway. Merry Christmas to all
Cheers

Today would be my dads 66th birthday, whilst sat at work looking at a few pictures from days gone by I remembered I hadn’t been on here for some time.
I have to say I’m rather overwhelmed by the comments and pictures posted, If I didn’t have 101 jobs to get done today I would spend some time replying to everyone, I will however be sure to dig out some more photos and get them posted, I really have been meaning to do that for some time.
For those asking after my mum, she is still well thankyou, I only work in the next village to where she lives, still in the same house she and my dad purchased in 1981, which still has the paintings on my bedroom wall that my dad did for me when I was young.
I must get on but thanks again for the comments and brightening up my day.
Hi everyone, I am indeed still around, busy at work mostly !
Glad to hear there is still interest coming from the pictures, I have just moved house and finally have my own office so I will actually get round to scanning some more of the many pictures I have as promised.
I’ll dig out those pictures Bill and thankyou to Flying Pencil for the information on how to scan the photos in with a better format.
XKris, I have replied to your PM and sent you mums email address, I sent her the link to this earlier which was quite a trip down memory lane for her π
Thanks again for lovely comments π

Formula one interests me simply for the outright pace the cars have from point to point, sadly when one car is following another the aero comes into play and it does always seem to give the leader a HUGE advantage, lets hope with the new changes this year we will see more overtakes but I suspect that the only reason it will be a close season is down to reliabilty of the cars.
Hamilton had 3 DNF’s in a row last year and possibly could of won had things of gone better, Vettel had loads of problems the year Brawn GP walked it and so handed the World Championship to them.
Rules are rules but the fact it wasn’t “that” safe back in the day was what made for good racing, if you now make two moves on a straight you will be punished! whats that all about ?
All motorsport has been tamed down over the years, I own a ex British Thundersaloon that was effectively banned for being too different which I heard lost the owner the best of 50k back in 1993 ! Rallycross is still nuts but again they have tamed that down somewhat over the years but its still very exciting to watch. F1 needs less grip, more power and some rules that allow the drivers to take a few more chances without being punished.
Anyway back on topic and as I don’t think its been mentioned who do we think will win it this year ?
For me I’m sticking with Lewis, he is without doubt gifted and also has a fantastic team behind him. I hope Kobyashi can shine this year as although he isn’t a front runner he does seem to be involved with most of the better racing these days.
Roll on next weekend π
