Sorry, been on Flickr again..
026 is clearly a Mosquito on deck – going by all the scrambled egg, and absence of wing fold, I’d guess one of the early experimental flights.
In which case is this Captain Eric ‘Winkle’ Brown?
Stamford Arts Centre could only have had ten or so seats spare from it’s 160 capacity…

JDK/Creaking door..thanks for your help.

Lindy’s lad: American unit would fit as photos are North Africa/Italy.
Wasn’t sure whether to post this in this thread, the Balderton thread or the XN728 thread (thread merge!):

For example the underwing floats on a Supermarine Southampton (similar wooden hull construction – not sure about floats) are only about 12 feet long.
Subject to a check of the measurements I think that’s a good shout..

I would guess the clock is ticking for the Brampton Phantom too….
Never seen a Spitfire so low in a built-up area before – narrowly missing the rooftops as it banked round several times before a barrel roll:D
Apparently he went to the chippie, a quick pint in The ****-Inn and Horseshoes and then under the bridge by Cuckoos Hollow.
Made up for an afternoon hammering away at my mates new decking. Cheers fellas.
Nice pics John…you should post these in the Jag thread on Prune.
