I remember Pearl Harbour well. A film that I thought was shot in a stunning way but sadly the story failed to live upto its hype.
How about this on ebay. If only I had the space to hang it 😎

Does the James Bond Boing 747 at Dunsfold and seen regularly in Top Gear and the other aircraft (camo DC-3 being one) count?
And Air Atlantic DC-6 features in the same film even if its only the tail end
maybe its with mine where ever that may be
Are we purely speculating about the fate of the Long Marston Shack or is its disposal/fate presently up for discussion and its present location and completness about to change ?
It seems particularily sad that the Anson T.21 prototype lost it’s wings and tailfeathers to Australia and here we have almost a carbon copy of those parts becoming available !
What happened to the fuselage of this airframe in the end?
What about the Vulcan guys at Wellesbourne?
Did you have any luck with speaking to the guy that owns Wellesbourne about getting a project located there?
As stated its XX320, its still on the MOD’s books and is now with the RAF Scampton museum, according to those who were with it.
Cheers for that info & to XM692 for the pic posted
Is the Hurricane project the former Graham Adlam ie Spitfire Spares airframe?
Which Hawk is it that can be seen behind the Tempest and did it get out of the system if privately owned?
[QUOTE=Elliott Marsh;1587316]YouTube of Dan’s 2008/9 displays, well worth checking out if you have a few minutes. He flies a very different display profile to any other warbird pilot I’ve seen which keeps the aircraft solidly in front, and close, to the crowd. QUOTE]
See what you mean about the different way of displaying the Spit
I believe that Flypast ran a series of articles possibly in the 1980’s on the subject. Sorry I cant be of any more use with dates etc.
The very first flypast magazine I ever bought featured a lovely article on this airframe whilst owned by Ed Stead including a nice air to air pitcure in colour. Always wondered what happened to the airframe.
And a low DC-3
A very low Herc in action
I’m sure I read that one of the provisos of receiving funding for the landmark building was that no more airframes were to be displayed outside.
Im not doubting you at all Kev as you seem to read and digest much more information than I ever could but why would that be one of the conditions. I dont understand the long term logic in signing an agreement for that. It seems to me a catch 22 situation for the museum and stunts its growth over coming years.
We cant aquire more airframes as we have no where to put them yet on the other hand why build a new building as we have no airframes to display in it.
