Great shots dude.

Anyone know what date DLE went into service? It was spotless.

I have never seen the mechanics under the air brakes shining before!

Hey guys, it was a good day out. Bit cold at times, but thank god for the hire car as i needed to have a sleep mid afternoon (poor old sod).

The day made me 15 new frames, so well worth it.

Looking at a mailing list last night, i saw that a private 74SP was in the hangar with the doors open and a pair of Agean 73’s were in the same area. I never thought of driving around the back (typical).

Gary and i flew out on DHO and managed to sit in 1A and B thus having a great view of the stewardesses legs. Gary is allededly still sedated in Bolton general.

When climbing out we saw a Star Air B762F on the cargo ramp. Anyone able to identify this frame?

Ok then guys, where next? Cologne should be easy enough for most of you??

Thanks for the info. I was lucky enough to see the 8 at MAN and wondered what the blacked out cars and police were all about.

Guys,

Gary has fallen from a ladder and done his legs in, so we will be getting a hire car for the day. Is the plan to spend the day at the lay by near the threshold?

Cheers for the comments guys. I am so looking forward to an 11 flight. I was not able to get a 10 flight before they all disappeared, and i suppose all 11’s will be converted to cargo before too long.

I am temped to try and get seats at the rear, in the knowledge of a huge engine above.

Looking forward to meeting up with you guys. I guess it will be best to confirm details over the weekend.

I have been to the mound by car, but not on foot. Has anyone got directions from the terminal, just in case.

Could always try something really unique like painting the aircraft a bright colour and calling the airline SqueezyJet.

London Control has a really good free demo for download at http://www.londoncontrol.com/index.htm.

There are also a few great pdf tutorials to get you going.

Hard to get your head around but very addictive.

Have a look.

Thats pretty cool.

Shame they do not always respond when you tell them to. Maybe it doesnt like IE7.

In my experience, most of the aviation databases do the job, it just depends on what you are expecting.

I used to use Aviation Databases < http://www.aviationdatabases.com/ > which was fantastic with plenty of development, but it was very expensive.

I now use ADU < http://www.airlinedataunlimited.co.uk/ > which is less dynamic, but a hell of a lot cheaper.

I would advise doing a google search on aviation database and contact the many different manufacturers, as they mostly offer trial versions so that you can get a feel for what they offer and you can work out what you want.

WIth BA Connect starting to off load its BAe aircraft and keeping its 145’s, they could be a potential customer.

G-OOBM (c/n 27568) is the last of a batch of 3 ex Vietnam Airlines 763’s to be delivered.

G-OOBK – ex VN-A762
G-OOBL – ex VN-A764
G-OOBM – ex VN-A765

Not sure if HVN are looking at off loading their last two 76’s.
