Enjoy!

Barajas is a great place for spotting (as long as you like red and orange). I think it is probably the best place in Europe to pick up some of the South American traffic. I bet that smoky cafeteria is hot at the moment.
Nice to see your shots Stieglitz.

I would advise caution when spotting from the location LFC24 has mentioned if you have a car.
Periodically the Police have been known to ticket every vehicle parked off the road. There are also reports of cars regularly being broken into as well.
Having said all that, the rumours on the Manchester mailing lists suggest that the AVP will be moved to the South along side the Firestation at some point next year.

KLM have also been known to drop a B739 into MAN, as well as often using Transavia aircraft for their scheduled flights.

Both North and south terminals have limited views from airside and non existant views from landside within the terminals.
I would recommend leaving the South terminal by the fire exit stairs next to domestic arrivals which will take you to the service area underneath the terminal. From here turn right as you exit the stars and a 2 minute walk will take you to the end of runway 26.
I have spent many days standing / sitting there and have never been moved on by any authorites.

As part of bmi’s new strategy, all but 4 short/medium routes will be flown using a simplified LCC format.
Hopefully this will force another BA/bmi price war on the MAN – LHR route.
Full details can be seen at http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/planandbook/newbusinessmodel.aspx

Had a good view of it the other day on long finals to LGW 08 Right.

Hi Comet.
I suppose it depends what you mean by ‘anything good’, as i have friends at LHR who are still looking for things that i no longer look twice at.
There are probably some local aircraft that you need as well, so this is not the ultimate list, just a few of the more desirable arrivals scheduled. Remember things often change so dont shoot the messenger.
Happy Spotting!
