    Hi All,
    Beermat,
The trouble is education these days has virtually whitewashed most of the black side of history such as war and all our Human negative side, only a hint with just a mention of events with no real detail and I do not know why ? It seems to me that schools are more about where they are placed in their league and how much money they can achieve from the government instead of teaching the truth in certain subjects…

    Hi All,
Is it not just a case of lazy journalism and reporting instead of researching a particular story and it’s facts correct, showing the correct photos etc.etc. ? Unfortunately it’s becoming more prevalent and noticeable to all let alone those who are actually interested in whatever news article or documentary’s who are in the main those who read or watch whatever etc.etc.
There could be some authentic reasons for this i.e. Time deadline constraints,Cost of acquiring whatever source material,The reporter does not know or really care about whatever subject matter of the Article/Story, I would edge on the side of sloppy un-researched material i.e. a generic old photo will do etc. as the general public don’t know any better attitude which is totally wrong IMPO, what is even worse is I assume that all story’s whatever the subject are edited and subject to a once over before being accepted then printed ?
Having said this it could be exactly the same done after the Article/Story is written ? I would say though it starts out with the journalist who is either Writing/Filming or Reporting the story and ultimately the responsibility of getting the correct facts and photos about whatever is down to him/her and if
said reporter just can’t be arsed what chance has the correct story of whatever Article/Story or Documentary ever of being told…:apologetic:

    Hi All,
Well if they can award medals to members of the Royal Family for doing feck all (Prince Edward) then why not to someone who actually put his life on the line in saving this historic aircraft ? Come to think of it any action that involves heroism in this calibre no matter what, those who put themselves last
deserve to be recognised or is crying out of the marines after 3months a recognised heroic act ? Ditto Tangmere’s post 199……:applause:

    Hi All,
Yet another big thank you to all you snappers for sharing, I still say why not run a competition for best picture say at any Air Show if not just at Flying Legends ? I would donate a couple of quid with others to reward some of you snappers, anyway many thanks again from an armchair enthusiast……:applause:
