As always lovely work matey, can I ask the twin guns under the Cockpit area would they have used a periscope system to aim and fire them ?

Many thanks for the update as I was sceptical about this whole Do17 project in the first place while not actually realising there were none that survived anywhere, I am now looking forward to when the time comes to seeing the finished product so to speak but like already mentioned it does look very fragile, but a great effort from all the team who have looked after the aircraft since arriving at Cosford.:eagerness:

Your the man for the job on here surely it would only take a few scans then you to fill in the blanks after research and you have a perfect partner for the job Flying Pencil, your work so far has been outstanding so why not give it a crack I am sure judging by your latest JU-88 offering it will be another masterpiece. :eagerness:

I don’t know to be honest but I always thought when they tossed bombs they pulled up never heard of over the shoulder, mainly posted because it was just a lovely shot and those afterburners looks so clean, the shot actually comes off a wallpaper site that names it as a phantom :stupid: IMHO they got rid of the Jaguar to soon should have carried on as should the Harrier but I suppose the pencil pushers and the procurement department knew better with that white elephant of an aircraft the F-35 but hey what do people with some common know ? Below not a true picture just a representation of what should still be flying another excellent decision made by the men with pencils in their hands Nimrod MR.4 how would of looked eventually.

Hi Rich,
Many thanks for answering my questions I wish you all well and the best of luck with the return to flight when ever that will be, the larger projects such as yours I think tend to get overshadowed somewhat with the more popular restorations. But in my mind all are equally important from the smallest restoration to the Vulcan as an example, your doing a grand job and the history you are helping keep alive will teach many generations about the heritage of an industry that we can be proud of and that this country used to be a world leader in aviation. :eagerness:

Also last months flypast with the Hurricane painted in temporary Finnish colours gives the name of the company who have done their scheme. Unless I am mistaken I seem to remember you can have a wash off temporary scheme applied also as it may have been in an earlier feature in Aeroplane or Flypast ?
