Any data exchange between fighters can be compromised, if the enemy has sophisticated sensors. The point is to make the data links harder to detect through technology and the way they are used. MADL is much superior to the other WAN data links such as Link-16 in this regard, hence it exists as a separate system in addition to the standard L16s for more stealthy communication and exchange of data between F-35’s.

    Hi All,
Many thanks for the info Sintra and Bring-it-on what I was more concerned was with if say in the theatre of air combat where different friendlies are flying F-35 one manages to be infected would that just mean all the others in the actual combat area would then just stop operating properly or just fall out the sky/Missiles not work/Helmet integration on the blink etc.etc.etc. or could it go on to infect through say tactical awareness systems in split seconds rather than plodding along from one F-35 download then onto the next more like Boom! one gets the virus they all have it no matter how near or far from the air combat zone they are possibly still even on the ground ?

I’ve never understood the hype surrounding the Lavi, essentially it’s just an F-16 with the tailplane and wings redesigned into a canard/delta layout. In what way was it better than the Viper?

    Hi All,
Glad not all my posts upset forumites anyway I think personally reading between the lines it was cancelled by the American opposition but to get the full story visit the link below and this should answer your questions one thing it did have over the F-16 was a cleaner/Aerodynamic weapons load.

Taking off in a human-powered helicopter must be extremely hard work.

Have you seen the guy on the bike he looks about knackered as not only does he have to keep cycling he has to manage up/down/left /right movements as at a couple of points it looks hard to maintain stability judging by his lean angle on the bike .

    Hi All,
Bager1968 I stand corrected 🙂 here’s one I liked ‘The Lavi’ but before you say anything, can this be considered ? when you say cold war is that just between West and East if so the following will not count I fear but still a good aircraft that should have been allowed to go into production.

    Hi All,
Sintra many thanks again for clearing the 6th gen news up,can I just ask with all the F-35’s being able to communicate to each other what is the likelihood that the system can be compromised then infecting all fleets of F-35’S or has this been factored in already ?
