I thought that the CAA and some possible operators where in discussion as how to achieve the exotics operation ? (Ref: the possible continued operation of XH558 not long after the last flight.) Admittedly it was a while ago now and no news has surfaced so I just thought the wheels just turning very slowly……:confused:
I agree with all reasons that we do not have any but they are all achievable surely ? I mean plenty of ex RAF personal to pull from, Ground running exotics knowledge and Skills and I am sure plenty of capable Pilots with experience ? as for the money well that would depend on who is interested surely ?

No! One other moan is the Mk’s of Spitfire and 109 are not correct, again this being programme is linked to the RAF100 you would have thought authenticity at least to the type of aircraft ?

I just wish that documentaries would get aircraft right i.e. RC BOB Model SQDN series (C4 :rolleyes:) that has lead historian James Holland describing the BOB as it happened. While he narrates about the Hurricane SQDN shooting down German aircraft you clearly see footage of a spitfire being shot down….:stupid:
I mean is it just me that thinks that the main audiences of these productions will be us the enthusiasts ? That being so shouldn’t a bit more thought be put into their making instead of treating everybody as knowing nothing at all ? This is not any negativity on the flyers as they are all superb as to even try this project and power to them all….:applause:
I just feel that as it’s meant to be part of the RAF 100 celebration they should have got everything spot on. Not going with the usual audience is thick and they will not know anything attitude that so many films and documentaries seem to have towards they’re audience sadly….

Am I the only one in thinking if this was the US that prevention would have been put in place many,many moons ago. I understand the need of progress but if that involves in crossing sites like these where there are more than likely human remains especially from war then surely the government has a duty to repatriate the remains for burial ?
The cost should matter not one bit as those who are still down their have paid that ultimate cost, not only that it would be for the families of whomever can have closure on a chapter of they’re own history. RIP all.

It seems to take an eon to load replies but once loaded the editing is much faster, another problem is sometimes it just keeps displaying working even when reply posted and one last thing is I use a pc and each time I move from thread to thread or section to section the curser seems to have a fit as if someone else is trying to hack my pc (Which it isn’t) apart from that no other gripes…..;)

Thought this may be good being as it had Bernard Hill,Norman Wisdom and Simon Ward who are all decent actors, sadly this looks like a money for old rope film as it was full of cliché’s yet Norman Wisdom is by far the best character actor in this watch and forget film…..:rolleyes:
