A good short behind the scenes video….

Hi All,
I think the trouble is a lot of museums want this that and the other airframe but when given them a lot do end up just waiting their turn for restoration all the time deteriorating because of the lack of funds to preserve that airframe never mind building to do this in before being evicted or similar.
As for Mr Weeks I think he evolves his thinking continually trying to encourage more than just the aviation enthusiast to visit his venue. This is where a good chunk of his funds go that could other wise be spent on aircrafts restoration he has to find that happy medium between the two. I would say he is battling on several fronts to maintain interest in the museum and funding of his projects after all he is not a bottom less pit of money. IMO he picks the airframes he thinks are the most historic to aviation while at the same time making them as authentic to the original build as he can get and that takes time and containers full of money of which he has to invent new strategies of supplying for these restorations and purchases hence is investments in Books and Rum.
I suppose at the end of the day like everything else in life it all comes down to money and the will to get whatever done…;)

Hi All,
Y-20 Bacon,
I thought exactly the same in another thread a few months back but another member said that it was still a multi national cooperation even without Germany and France if I remember correctly ? One thing it would have had a cannon unlike the Typhoon as am I correct in saying the UK Typhoons still fly without a cannon ?
My other aircraft I liked was the design before the F-22 Raptor by Lockheed (Below) am I correct in thinking that their proposal directly influenced and lead to the joint venture that gave us that aircraft ? and why the need for horizontal stabilisers instead of the wing design below ? do they provide better handling on a fighter as apposed to a big delta bomber such as the Vulcan had ? Because I am sure the Vulcan often out turned fighters of the day (Please correct if wrong)

Hi All,
EAP all the way for me looks a lot better than the Typhoon that we have now, didn’t the pilot say after the 1st flight it was an excellent aircraft ?

Hi All,
Alan,
If you like Brian Wilson you’ll really like It’s a very compressed life story but shows hoe manipulative his personal Dr was in his life so sad really but just glad of the outcome of it all..
Last night I watched the remake of ‘When The Earth Stood Still’ (Sky Cinema) not one of Mr Reeves better films but watchable if you like the Sci-Fi genre messes with the original time line of events a bit compared to the original but basically all the elements are there. As always it’s all down to personal taste and I enjoyed it for what it was..
Starring:- Keanu Reeves,Jennifer Connelly,Jaden Smith,Kathy Bates,Jon Hamm,John Cleese,Kyle Chandler,Robert Knepper,James Hong and John Rothman.
Klaatu (Keanu Reeves), an extraterrestrial visitor to planet Earth, becomes the herald of upheaval on a global scale.
