That’s not exactly a great deal bigger than a Type 23.
My point! How to fit this much larger hanger and very much larger landing deck on a ship verualy the same size as the one it replaces.
Either RN/MOD are being economical with the truth and its going to be much larger 6-7,000 tons or it wont have the big flight deck.
Cant find the link yet but it has been said that the type 23 would have to be 1000 tons larger now to accomodaite the improvements to living conditions in the ship that are now required……..which would make a copy 5900 tonnes
