Listen, it took IAF 12 years to make up their mind between Jag, Viggen and F-1 in 1978, 20 years to pick AJT and somebody thinks they’ll pick-up 125 fighter aircrafts in two years?
WIthin three years only IAF and NAF will be the one flying Jags, and IAF will start facing the same spare-part problem as they are facing with Migs. France withdrew its Jag forces two years ago and HAL is still manufacturing these old beasts. In reality, IAF has one two many fighter aircrafts in its invesntory and they should work on dismentaling few of its aircrafts rather than dreaming about 45 sqds or more. They should have only Su-30, Mig-29, and LCA (if it bears fruit) supported by 30 Mirage 2000 by the year 2010.
No flame intented.
I very much doubt whether the IAF wants to go for anymore twin-engined aircraft in it’s inventory. Maintenance et al is too much of a hassle.
So, why are they inducting Su-30, buying more Jags, and have Mig 29 in inventory?
I doubt Sweden will sell Grip en to Pakistan or India. Same principles apply to both countries. I think IAF has already made its mind up and they’ll go for Mig-29 because all the rest of the fighters are out of reach and Mirage 2000-5 is very expensive. BTW, the deal will not be signed for another two years according to experts.
Swim! Swim! Hungry!
I guess the mockery starts from the Mods
Okay, go and open a thread for Norway and we’ll see how many posts it will get.
Besides, if you don’t have any menaingful news about PAF you always have opinion not to read anything in this thread 😉
Prasun K. Sengupta is writing straight from International Air Review. SInce when did the Mirage 2000-9, F-16 E and F-18 E have started to make the list? BTW, US$4.4 billion by the year’s end I guess GOI has another 20 days to “ink” the deal.
It would be safe to say that Mr. Sengupta has no idea about procurement procedures
IJT is uuuuuuugggggggly
H.Khan, the man who was proven to be a liar, is hallucinating again
How about H Khan lieing about the E-2C?? Would you like to comment on this news piece?
Okay, than, Su-27 is similar to F-15 which is similar to Mig 25, Su-24 is evolution of F-111, Tornado is a evolution of Mig-23, Tu-160 evolution of B-1, An-12 is evolution of C-130, while FBC-1 is evolution of Tornado and Jag, Mirage 2000 is evolution of Mirage III/V, Mi-28 is evolution of Apache, and most famous of all J-10 is evolution of Lavi. 😉
I know it very well. Please add the link for better understanding. 🙂
What better understanding?
Actually, the FC-1 seems to be a modified and updated IAR-95 program.
This just a imagination.
Look at the image, it speaks a lot.
The “MiG-33” was the MiG-29M from the early 90s. Just an export designation for that. Please stay serious. 😎
Your pathetic level of knowledge is clear!
I always had the impression that the MiG-33 was a one engine “lookalike” of the MiG-29, it surely does not look like the FC-1 or JF-17 or Super & or Thunder.
Actually, “Super 7” project was scraped because of embargoes and sanctions on PRC. The gneiss of FC-1/JF-17 was the Mig-33 which never went beyond a conceptual model.
Oh yes, PAF and PAC were deeply involved in the design of JF-17 from time get go. Right now, me, you, and anybody can’t give you any detailed about the specifics. If somebody does give any specifics than it would be pure speculations no facts.

Work, work, work! Using CAD and doing R&D. Same way when Dassault helped/assisted HAL design LCA
