Mine to the North East Aircraft Museum. For those concerned that this type of material then becomes virtualy lost to the outside world, we plan to scan the cover sheet of our more rarer books/publications/manuals and upload onto our Research & Archive site @ http://www.NEAviationResearch.org.uk so that anyone can see what we have and request information for them or even scans (copyright taken in account)
Pointless having a forum that guests can’t read…. can we have some pics on here please?
Hi John/All,
I’ll raise at the next commitee meeting. I guess its a balance of wanting to know who accessing the forum vs those that register & visit once!
I don’t mind either way – 10 min job to switch sections to view only for non registered visitors
Cheers

OK based on your comments – visitors to the NEAM forum http://neam.myfreeforum.org/ are no longer required to login to view posts. Expect some additional adverts which you won’t get by registering/logging on

Again, I offer the use of our workshops to help repair the damage.
Thanks John, I’ve let John/Paul & Co know (again)

Thanks Kev,
Was his initials A.J.L. ? I have this name from another forum. On the back of the photo it shows the number of times he flew on Beta, Gamma, Delta, Eta. Then lists R100, R101, R34 & (R9?) but no details of flights made so maybe the owner/research added this line later?
Thanks so far for you help
Dave
The News section on the NEAM website has been updated to offer our thanks to those companies who assisted with ‘319’s safe landing …

Hi Paul,
The ‘KLM’ fwd fus @ Schiphol is a former TWA DC-9. I can’t remember the reg, but can look it up if it’s important to you?
Thanks
Dave
Once bitten, twice shy 😉
The Saturday shift getting to work !

Hi Chris,
Keep an eye on http://www.NEAviationResearch.org.uk
Some of the Acklington BoB days are covered in events section, but more to come when time allows
Thanks

A humorous excerpt from the unpublished memoirs of F/Lt James Taylor “Robbie” ROBSON –
It had no armament so the P.R. pilot relied on ‘keeping his eyes open’. He did carry a large knife down his flying boot in case enemy action or equipment failure caused his seat pack dinghy to inflate. Then it was a quick puncture of the dinghy to prevent being squashed upwards in the cockpit. This was a worry to me as I can’t swim and hoped I hadn’t to ‘ditch’ if I had ruined my dinghy! 🙂
I kept thinking of Robbie while watching this excellent programme.

I always use http://www.bookfinder.com when researching book prices. The search engine includes both Amazon (new & marketplace) as well as Abebooks

If you can go into the film and think “inspired by” rather than “based on” actual events, then you’re going to have a reasonably good time.
Think “based on Commando comics” would be more accurate :diablo:
CGI decent, film terrible

Similarly a Bf110C-5 was shot down around the same time by Flt Lt William Blackadder of 607 Sqn. Anyone know the serial/code for his Hurricane?
Many thanks
A transcribed copy of the ORB we have NEAM records this as a He111. No reference to serials
Thanks
Dave
Hi Gerry,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I look forward to it & will save me trips to the local library who have a copy, but not for loan purposes
Cheers
