ok my last three for today(ill stop boring you with my 747 shots after this lot)
Arriving in a very cloudy manchester you can spot “the Airport” pub aswell. this was quite a difficult approach, was planning as usual on landing at 06R and was then given vectors to land at 24R, and also had to do a circle which ive never done before 😀

Robbo1987: I have a number of successful 747 landings under my belt. I suggest take off fully laden around 165kts. I suggest landing with no more than 50% fuel as it becomes difficult. When ATC are bringing you in, when around 2000 ft, slow to 170kts with flaps around 25.
The closer you get, slow the engines until your at around 155 kts over the base of the runway then cut the engines.

thanx for the info, worked a treat :D. I usually fly with just the unlimited fuel and full load on, but i did my first flight with the right amount of fuel etc etc and its amazing how much easier it is! flying heavys is so much more fun….

my second heavy flight from orly to manchester, managed to do a pretty descent landing too 😎

Hi i have been to Mahon three times where abouts did yoyu stay and did you enjoy it.

    James

i stayed in a sort of holiday village called S’algar just outside of mahon….it was a bit to quiet for me really…and more for the older people, but i guess i enjoyed it. Even it it rained for nearly half the holiday, if i went back to menorca i doubt id go back to S’algar though.
