I’ve read where some have posted about Israel launching air strikes at Iran. I agree with those who have posted that the F-15s and F-16s don’t have the range even with tanker support. I also think it they are too few in number to make any impact. However what I am wondering is what would it take for Israel to launch a nuke at Tehran. Iran would have to do something really bad to **** off Israel enough to launch a nuke.

i do understand Isreals determination to get the terroists, but surely is all this bombing and shelling really nessercery… swating a wasp with a sledge hammer springs to mind..

That’s how you win at war, by bringing more firepower to the table than your adversary. You don’t want a fair fight, you want the odds stacked in your favor so you can win. People die in war, both military and civilian it cannot be avoided. The side that wins is the side that is willing to do what the other side isn’t willing to do. Considering the lack of marbles that most of the governments and people of the West have right now I guess I better get a Koran and a prayer rug!

You have to stop watching Fox news. You sound like Sean hannity and Bill O Reilly.

This thread and forum is not about American and their torturing ways but let me point you to certian other events alot along before 911 which might point you to the fact that americans have tortured and tortured as state policy as well :

American civil war — burning down of entire city of Atlanta and mass rape and killing of civilians. No to mention carnage by sherman in other southern cities just to dispirit the men away from home fighting under the leadership of Lee.

Vietnam and Cambodia —- google and you’ll find tons of stuff.

Latin America–Chile in particular. Look it up.

What makes you think that war is all “lets play nice and fair”. General Sherman the man that burned Atlanta said “War is hell, the faster we get it over with the better.” The terrorists don’t play by the rules so why do you want us to play by the rules. Do you want the terrorist to win? Are you on their side? You cry foul when the US or Israel “torture freedom fighters and kill civilians” but you are ok with the terrorists bombing a bus in Tel Aliv that kills women and children because after all they deserve it because Israel is just a big bully.

You sound like those folks on AirAmerica.

The Russians may not have developed long range bombers because they could forward deploy intermediate range bombers in Alaska. The same goes for ICBM’s. They also would have a few large naval bases in Alaska. The US and Canadian ground forces would be much larger because of the Alaska/Canada border and US comitments to Europe. NORAD and the DEW line and the old Air Defence Command would be of major importance.

I believe that the whole deal was 4 Lupos and 6 corvettes and a tanker. Saddam bought them as a package deal for a whole new navy. The Iran Iraq War held the whole thing up I believe.

It looks to me like a Trident Missle launch from a boomer. Someone just replaced the missle with a F-15.

That look very expensive, $100 billion?

That would be the American version that would come with a fishing sonar. 😀

Iran published first pictures of a new special forces stealth ship. It says that these ships – or boats – can be deployed in huge numbers, are virtually undetectable and are very agile.
The pictures shows the first image of this advanced technology weapon. Some sources say that the pictured specialist is a Russian adviser. This can, however, not be proved at the moment.

    😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Super Tomcat over Super Hornet. Super Tomcat would have better range, power and avionics if it was built.

No luck with google. The sketch had a bridge radar tower like the Burke Class without the raked mast with a soild superstructure aft with off setting funnels like the Spruance Class with a radar mast between the stacks. Single gun in front VLS aft of the gun, helio landing spot behind the superstructure VLS behind the helio, VDS housing behind the VLS. Pretty basic sketch.
