That is some mighty amazing footage right there, thanks for sharing that link 🙂
This is the volunteer restoration group I co founded to help out museums and others in the restoration of aircraft / warbirds etc.
Just building up a decent collection of pieces at the moment, where to from here is anybody’s guess, but like everything you gotta start somewhere, being a bigger aircraft it tends to fill up space in a suburban shed pretty darn quickly !
Hey Bob
I’ve emailed P+P as I will get him to send the Jettison Button with the ASI. No need for swaps, it going to a good home 😀 Best of luck with your projects !
Cheers
Ewan
Yes thats the one. Maybe someone on here will recognise them. I’ve always been mystified by them and their purpose. In the shed they were with a load of broken remains, but interestingly the remains were stamped with RAF Kidbrooke, probably shipped over early on with aircraft deliveries and the like…..
Pm Sent ! P+P, I know where those c0cks came from :dev2:
Bob, whats the last pic on post 3 from? I have a few of them but never knew what they were for.
Cheers
Ewan
That last photo is really something, especially when you read the context. Thanks Moggy.
As to the shortest service number, I had a look at the nominal roll from WW1 and it is indeed 8. On the same page there is a 170 and a 50. I wonder why they were so short compared to the rest ?
Erm, probably a bit on the high price side really – even for Beau collectors like myself 🙁
Not sure about the markings but I think that they may have been used in the TR9 series of wireless sets.
I recently picked one up at an auction house with an R1155A, so may also have been used with them. No idea about the stencils though. Good find !
Can anyone identify which aircraft this Bristol rudder pedal originates from? It is available on ebay Australia.

I’ve got some pics of a Mark IV A Pitot head only but if that helps happy to put up – they were certainly fitted to Tiger Moths
*sigh* yes I thought that would be the case, though I will look thru the lists on the ADF serials website and see what I can narrow down to aircraft used in common between Australia and the UK – the one on the left I have another of, and both have the Australian RAAF Stores Ref number with AM crown. The one on the right has the crows feet logo so that is certainly later.
At a guess I am going to start with maybe the Lincoln and work my way thru from there 🙂 Thanks again !
If this has already been posted apologies but I loved it – the timing of the Lanc and the band is fantastic. A job well done, wish I could be over there to see it in person
Picture !
