Nice work! The images issue looks like the image is not locking into the spot it’s supposed to be then appearing on text above a blank area. I’m guessing check for alignments, text wrapping around images and maybe if there is a function to keep image locked in place as opposed to floating, that may fix it. Also if you are using a template it may be an issue within the template itself as opposed to anything you have done.
I’ve not used WIX before for website stuff, our one I did in Weebly, but I am guessing its the same drag and drop principle.

The story of the wings – we believe that they were in fact a set of spares for the units at Pt Cook / Laverton. They were located in the attic of a shed in Geelong some years back and brought to the Museum. Up until now they have languished in a corner and generally unnoticed. Given that they are probably one of the oldest surviving original RAF aircraft items, we felt they needed to be a centrepiece of the new exhibition. We put up perspex shields on the lower sections today so that grubby fingers don’t get near them – but visitors can get very close and see how amazing they actually are – because some of the fabric has gone you can see the wooden spars etc so it’s a great way to understand just how these aircraft were made. The roundel we think is not real and probably painted on later by the people that owned the wings – like a lot of things, we simply don;t have the historical data to separate truth from fiction !
Ours will be on May 14 – and we are cleaning out the stores of our surplus. Should be some good things in there 🙂
I may have mentioned them in the past but a mate got them out in the country for me where they were being used as a wall in a farm dairy ! The bottom lot were cactus as they had been widdled on by one too many cows, but the top row are actually really quite good. There are four Beaufighter ones and one Beaufort one. As always just happy to save it from being lost for good and if we can utilise them thats even better 🙂

I finally brought home a small project yesterday (along with six large sections of Beaufighter wing panels) which I am sure is going to keep me very busy for the next couple of years. But in all honesty I’m happy to have saved it at the least. I have an instrument panel (minus BFP) and lots of bits, but right now it’s just documenting it all and getting ready for a big clean prior to working out what to replace, rebuild etc…..

Whether you like his music or not doesn’t matter, you cannot deny that he has left a massive impact on popular culture in so many fields – something that modern day “artists” can’t come within a brass razoo of.

Yes but not for many years which is not a bad thing right now as we need a) space and b) plan for our future move 🙂
Plus I make no bones about it – we don’t have enough experienced people on the ground to handle such a big aircraft. We have works underway on the Beaufort, DC-3, DC-2 and Catalina and they are big enough !
Oh right, yes its a huge project but looks like headed north sometime soon for a team to work on (negotiations underway)
