Whilst I’m sticking Mossie pictures up, how about this one for a real 1944 feel! My all time favourite piccie! Taken by Howard Lees at RAF Wyton, late summer 1944. I think the Mosquito B XVI probably belonged to 128 Squadron, but I don’t know f’sure.

Hi All,
The most beautiful aeroplane – Mosquito. But there is one thing better than one Mossie – it’s two:D

Hi Transall,
The simple answer is Yes. 23 Sqd. went to Malta as a night fighter & then doing more intruder sorties. A good little book to get hold of is The Red Eagles by Peter Rudd.

Hi All,
Many thanks for all the picture – All superb!!! I think he’ll be spoilt for choice.
We’ve just bought all the wood etc. So, he’ll be starting building this weekend. I shall keep this post & I’ll be in touch soon.

Hi Guys,
Anyone got some good colour Sea Fury photos. A mate of mine is building a 1/8th scale model & wants some piccies.
Cheers,

Hi All,
My living room has the old bit of Mossie stuff! In the piccie the picture in pride of place is Prelude to Peace by Ronald Wong. On the back wall is Mosquito by Robert Tomlin & Duel of Eagles by Robert Taylor. In the hall there are more Robert Taylor prints; The Dambusters, Air Strike over West Falklands & Spitfires. All my prints are signed by various aircrews & artists.

Hi Keith,
How about a recently converted Dortmund railway station, after a Bomber Command visit!

Hiya,
If you think Night Fighter is good, try Pursuit Through Darken Skies by Michael Allen DFC**. It’s very, very good! Another good one which is just being reprinted by Banner Books is The Gestapo Hunters. This is a fantastic refernce book, which is very well written.
As for my favourite? Mission Completed by Basil Embry. This book gives a superb insight into 2TAF & low level intruder sorties.

Hi All,
Wroughton has an open day (2 days, in fact) March 13th & 14th. The LMA also have one of their airshows on at the same time. So it should be quite a good week end.

Hi Carolyn,
I’ll just echo what the others have said! I felt very emotional when Mr Brothers, took control of your Spitfire. A superb piece of television. Well done to you & Ch.4.
Many thanks,
Neilly
Hi Skipper,
I have a full set of Luftwaffe maps, whether they’re what you want, I’m not sure. Send a PM & I’ll send them to you.
Cheers,
Neilly
Hi Kev,
If you’re going to the Mossie Museum, let us know. Don’t need much of an excuse to go there! Try & make it a Sunday, later on in the year, when the guys are working on the aeroplanes there. Much more interesting:)
Cheers,
Neilly
Ashley, did you read my request for some help?
Cheers,
Neilly
Hi Bruce,
Looking at the picture , closer, it would seem you’re most certainly correct. I thought I’d read somewhere that, when Ed Zalesky was restoring her, he’d found an ex-dHC employee who’d worked on Mosquito wing spars. Perhaps in the mists of time (& a crap memory) I misread the article.
Do you want me to send you the other pictures, that my friend sent?
Happy New Year,
Neilly
Hi Ant & Bruce,
I seem to recall, that VR 796 had a new wing spar made for it. The Mossie was partially restored prior to Bob Jen’s buying her.
