Hi Chris,
Glad to hear no damage. These undercarriages are a bit hit & miss, sometimes! I had real fun & games getting the u/c doors to work properly – took me forever. Damn good job I wasn’t on the original dH Prototype, ‘cos if I had, it probably still waiting to enter service:D
The engines are Stu Mackay 45’s. They have the same output as the Z62. Turning a 3 blade 22×10 prop I’ve got 75lbs of thrist. On full power I can’t hold the model back. So it should go like s**t off the preverbial shovel!
Aother try at picture posting????
Cheers,
Neilly

I agree 100% with you, doesn’t make sence to me, either:confused:
I’ve been trying to post a picture of my Mossie & failed several times. I’ve just had a look back & the last picture I posted was on the 25th Oct., in connection with Kev35’s question about Serial Tie Ups.
Ahh well, I suppose I’d better go to work & vent my annoyance on a few unsuspecting motorists:p Watch out for low flying large truck:D

Hi Chris,
The Spitfire certainly looks very good from the ground pictures, perhaps some in flight, soon. Good to know everything went well with the first flight. Always a worrying time. My biggie is a 1/5th scale Mosquito B IX, which will depict LR 503, F bar-Freddie. This Mossie completed a record 213 operational sorties.
Looks like Dezz is having the same trouble as me, can’t post a picture! I’ve sent 2 e-mails to our WebMaster, but no reply:rolleyes:
Anyway here’s another go.
Cheers,
Neilly
What a surprise still no bloody picture:mad: 😡 😡
Hi All,
Chris, nice looking Spitfire. Which of the Mick Reeve kits did you opt for? Perhaps we’ll get to fly in formation sometime.

Here we go again.
Have a look at this site for some really detailed modelling work.

I don’t know why, but I still can’t post a picture!
Message gone to Webbie!
Perhaps I’ve bored the Webbie to much! Don’t know why I can’t get a picture up on the site:confused:
Time to go to work, I’ll have another go tomorrow:mad:
Bye,
Neilly
Last go:mad: 😡
Try No.3
(don’t know why it’s not showing picture? )
Try No.2
(Wot still no bloody picture????)
This is my number one toy.
Cheers,

(Wot no picture??????)
Hi Flood,
You’re quite correct, the incident that I’m interested in does come from the Mosquito Crash Log. However, I can’t find any further information on the Mosquito concerned. It just seemed strange that the Spitfire registration is given & the Mosquitoes isn’t, especially when you consider it’s the Mosquito Crash Log!
Thanks Christer for your input, too.
Cheers,
Neilly
Hiya Moggy,
Some very good points & reasoning, which probably ain’t to far from the truth

Ooops!
DA 100 – DZ 999
Doh!
& it was just over 200 extra registrations, of Mossie.
Double Doh:rolleyes:
Hi Kev,
One way of matching aircraft serials to squadrons is to use Air Britain Publication. As long as you know all the registration letters, you can get the relevant books. It’s alot of work, but can be done.
The other thing you have to look out for is when bits of aeroplanes are mated together, this also throws a spanner in the works, too. When Andy Dawson was doing the Mosquito serial No.’s he found the number of actual Mosquitoes registered was nearly 300 more than the official count!
Below is a typical page from Air Britain Serials DA 100000 – DZ 999.

Hi Keith,
Sorry about the questions:p I’m beginning to think there’s a mistake (one of many, & I do mean MANY!!!) in the Mosquito Crash Log. This is why I was hoping someone with Spitfire info., might be able to help.
By the way, I have DD 758 as bellylanding. Nothing about colliding with a Spitfire. Do you have any more info on this one?
Thanks for your input.
Cheers,
Neilly
