Hi All,
I have changed, slightly, the way I’ve done the PP – I would be interested in any comments. I’m hoping the pictures look slightly better.
Paul, I do know who flew the Mosquito, but his surname escapes me for the moment. I think it was Mike something:confused: It wasn’t Keith Skilling – it was MAM’s own pilot.

Hi All,
For what its worth – the rebuild of KA114 has been extremely well documented over the years and having been up very close to this Mosquito I can tell you it’s the most perfect example I have ever seen. It is without doubt the best Mosquito ever built.

Neil
Here you go guys a small article.

That name has been mentioned
According to what I’ve just read the FW190 is on its way to Oregon, to an un-named buyer.

If you have a look on Facebook at Kermit Weeks, you’ll see he’s just visited MAM and the stock of aircraft bits and pieces fills a hanger or two. Some serious moneys worth takes f’sure! Then add an aeroplane or two into the equation and that IS serious money!!!

Neil
From what I’ve been told by my Canadian friend KA114 has been sold to Rod Lewis – have a look at previous thread.

There wasn’t a chase plane when these pictures were taken because it was the actual show. However, there were quite a few A2A sorties for the press and it was the B25 that was used.

Trumper,
Have a look at his web site – he already has some great toys! I think whatever aircraft he’s bought will be looked after.

The Mossie has gone to him, f’sure. All the other aircraft have been sold, from what I’ve been told.
Have a look at the Rod Lewis web site http://www.lewisairlegends.com

I believe they’ve already been sold. The name of the buyer is Rod Lewis.

Neil
Thanks, Guys for the comments.

I fluffed the double cross over several times – so this was the best I could manage. I guess I’ll have to go back sometime in the near future and try again!

Yes this is the right way up! I’ll post post the whole take off sequence which was basically – take off go almost vertical on re-heat and do a barrel roll and only retract undercart when back on the straight and level.

Hi Growler,
I didn’t know – someone at the show said that’s what it was.:apologetic:

It’s a amazing how you take an instant dislike to someone you’ve never met;) What a fabulous picture, Phil – I’m green with envy, just looking at it:applause:
