Hi David,
Thanks for that.

RE: Instrument?
Lancman, I believe he has 2 rev counters, so he might want to flog one. I can always ask, I don’t know what they’d be worth.

RE: Elvington
Hi Ant,
Thanks for your encouraging comments, on my No.1 toy! My Mossie is coming along slowly but surely (I only manage to get 1 day working on it every 2 weeks).
Yhe colour scheme might look strange, the top half is still in primer. I would also add, ‘cos if I don’t someone will, the fin flash & aircraft reg. code are to big (my poor maths!). On the bottom 2 pictures I’d just been lining up the motors, hence the strange looking ‘props’.
The model has progressed, since these piccies were taken, but not into the air, yet. I’ve been waiting for a decent day to start up the motors. They’ve been fired up on a test bench, but not in the actual model.
Cheers,
Neilly

RE: Elvington
I would say that was definitely Tony Agars’ NF II. I really must get to Elvington this year! I agree with Ant, the sound of a Mossie, Lovely!!!
Another one to look out for on Thursday, is Battle Stations, again. It’s a repeat, about the Mig 15. Well worth another look!

RE: Wizard Prang Ashley and Tony!
Hi All,
I would just like my thanks to Ashley & Tony for sorting an interesting & enjoyable day. A big thank you to Robert for a brilliant talk on the BofB.
It was good to put faces to names & talk fellow enthusiasts (aka Anoraks!)
Thought this picture was apt for the occasion.

RE: Peter-‘Just Jane’ video
Hi All,
Just thought I’d bring to the attention, of other Bomber Command buffs: A DVD from DD Videos, ‘Bomber Command: Celebrating 60 Years’. It’s got two documenaries on it, Reaping the Whirlwind & Enemy Coast Ahead plus extra newsreel footage. I think it was about £15, & well worth it.
Cheers,
Neilly
RE: Wrong forum
Hi Wombat,
As someone who subscibes to both magazines (& have done for many years), I like both formats & I’m quite happy with Flypast. The only comments that I do have to make about Flypast is:
There’s too many articles to do with American aviation. There’s not enough veriety in the articles on Bomber & Fighter Command, by which I mean Lancasters & Spitfires are to heavily featured. These are, in my opinion, only slight niggles & Flypast is an excellent mag.
Cheers,
Neilly
RE: Typhoon Footage
Hi Andy,
Have a look at this site:
http://user.tninet.se/~ytm843e/tempest.htm
There’s several clips of Tempests, although nothing on the Tiffie.

Neil
