The very same, although it’s been in France a good few years including a landing accident – it’ll be good to see it back!

Very handsome machine, but new to me- can anyone elighten as to its history? Cheers…

Splendid, glad to hear a broader memorial is being created! There’s no other visible reminders of Port Meadow’s aviation past as far as I know, so this is very good to see

There’s already a small stone in the wall near the Trout pub (Wolvercote end) – I wonder if this is a new memorial or a rededication/ refurbishment of the existing one? Commendable either way!

They certainly have flown displays in the UK- Viggen and SK60 twice at Waddington, and Tunnan and Draken once apiece…
This was pre-Shoreham, maybe the CAA’s tightened-up rules have affected the Flight?

Time will tell – but the RAFM have probably had their work cut out with the 100th anniversary exhibition, so one can hardly blame them for putting some things in storage, at least temporarily. They only have so much manpower and money, and expecting everything to be instantly re-assigned to new homes or redisplayed is probably optimistic! Hopefully artifacts will re-emerge on display once the dust has settled a bit, although I sincerely hope that some more undercover display space is procured at Cosford, as quite a lot of airframes formerly on display have disappeared to Stafford…

Yeah I’d echo all the above. Took my own food and didn’t need the lavs so can’t comment in shortage of those. I don’t do a vast amount of ground things but I too enjoyed Stu Goldspink’s pilot chat. He could have done with a microphone though! I’m on;y 28 and have decent hearing, and was having to concentrate quite hard.

I’d have said the traffic queue was partly due to the change to checking people’s tickets in-car before parking – which vastly slows up vehicle entry. I’m sure they used to have a pedestrian ticket queue by the College entrance to the site, and you could park your car and gather your things before presenting your ticket. All the shows I’ve been to anywhere with the latter arrangement have had vastly smaller traffic queues on average.

Displays superb as ever, especially JR in the Blenheim and Stu Goldspink in MH434 and the Hurricane I. It was also a real treat to see the Camel (Dodge Bailey, IIRC) displayed with the SE5a! Congrats lastly to Claire Tector on a fine debut in the Brisfit, even if her sideslip landing on the runway 12 looked slightly alarming from my viewpoint (I’m sure it wasn’t)!

A few photos from me to complement LN Strike Eagle’s much superior efforts above.

One article I read said that it had to be dismantled-presumably once recovered from the beach itself…

I don’t think they’ve reduced ticket sales. Been queuing for 35 mins already and only just at the estate gates. Worst traffic I’ve ever seen in 7 years of attending OW!

I’ve no problem with the temporary repaint, and it’s nice to see an “RAF” Anson again (it seems ages since WD413 was an airshow regular). I did like the blue scheme though-hopefully another attractive civil scheme will appear eventually 🙂

Well the price hike (now £27 presale) did make me huff slightly. However given that we’re getting Lancaster, Blenheim, two Spitfires, Typhoon, various other visitors, plus a huge range of Collection aircraft including the Camel and all the Edwardians lined up, I’m really not complaining. The atmosphere and close views are still very special IMO. Bring on the weather!

Heck, they didn’t hang around! Looks wonderful, a warbird I missed first time around so looking forward to seeing her fly this summer 🙂

Atonement for the move to Biggin Hill of Falcon Six G-AEEG, maybe! Still, an engaging type I’ve never seen in the flesh. You win some, you lose some…

Definitely mid-1990s – Vulcan XM569 was still listed as a complete survivor at Rhoose in a Vulcan book I have from 1993, around the time when XH558 was retiring first time around.
