I’m a bit dissapointted with the statement by some Israeli officials saying that they reserve the rights to nab 13 of the Palestinians who were released last few days.As always the Israelis are willing to use any means available to get this allegged offenders.No proof were given to suggest this 13 men were involved directly in any suicide bombing.This move would make Israelis promises in the future -not to be taken seriously.Too bad.

Maybe you’re right,it could be and most likely Al Qeada operatives suicidal job.The questions is,why do they have to picked the poor French guys which has been assigned to built the SSK?I dont think the Al Qeada plans to conduct a covert underwater operations(which makes an advance SSK a major setback)in the Pakistani waters?Then again ,i could be wrong.You can never knows what this bastards are capable of.

I’m not an Aussie but is it true that the ANZAC frigates suffered from poor worksmanships? As far as i know,ANZAC is one of the best design vessels in the Australiasia region.The only setback-lack of weapons and sensors on board.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-05-02 AT 06:17 AM (GMT)]RMN latest NGPV built by Blomn&Voss,to be outfitted in Malaysia by end on this year.Initial 2 vessels shall be delivered somewhere in 2003.The next 25 vessels will be built 100 percent in Malaysia and will cost app US$3B for the next 10 years or so.The vessel is built base on the famous MEKO 100 concept,stealth features,modular construction and weapons fitting.Various version will be built base on the same platform depending on the country needs.The first 6 will be outfitted for general patrol duties hence 21 days on station capabalities,CPP,advance 3D radar,helos deck+hangar(Super Lynx most likely),EXOCET MM40 missiles and RAM shorads.The AAW version will be armed with ASTER missiles,phased array radar and CIWS,ASW version to be equipped with MU90 IMPACT/WHITEHEAD torpedos +towed array sonar.I’m impressed with the advanced Dutch/German navy frigate.In a way they seems to be a like,is this vessel part of the so call LCF(i hope i get it right)program?The EU frigate has always been more practical and modern compared to the US built frigates.I hope RMN could consider to buy a couple of this modern frigate to replace the aging HANG TUAH(ex HMS MERMAID) and RAHMAT(Yarrow design frigate armed with SEACAT back in the 70s).At one point RMN would like to buy 2 Kortnear,but with the latest development TYPE 122 could be a better choice to replace the HANG TUAH,RAHMAT.By the way anybody got latest photo of the Israeli heavily armed corvette(i personally think it is the best in it’s class),Singapore Victory class corvette fitted with the Barak 1 VLSAM,Saudi Lafayette frigates and the Oman VOSPER corvette?
