open car doors make an effective sheild against all kinds of armement except perhaps a tank.
Victims will allways drift off on their own from the group.
torches always get dropped just before the monster/hole appears.
if you run away from men with automatic machine guns they will always miss you. Not even any chips from walls etc will hit you.
Oh, and on entering a dark forboding place always ask “hello is anybody there?”

My son downloaded all the updates from Sony last night so I will be able to copy my raw to jpegs.
Old Shape, I think you have summed me up pretty good. There are photos I take which I would like to try and print at A3 and I want to produce photos as good as are shown on here so will keep trying.
    Buy for now.

So, now you’ve read up on it, and played with the camera………you still on Jpeg?

well I have switched to raw but it does gobble up memory space.

I think the choice will depend on what I am taking. for instance I have been repairing some dining chairs so took before & after shots of the joints etc. These I took in jpeg. But those of my sons freind’s cat I took in raw.

I have just rought a new laptop with 64 bit vista. The camera doesn’t support 64 bit vista. Therefor I have to download an update. I can now load the raw files but now need an update to convert.

Fortunately I have a son who helps me, but he is not always here. I do find I get exasperated with modern tech. I think I expect to plug and play and instead find its plug fiddle then fiddle again then …… ask my son !!!

I am enjoying the camera. I like the way you can try something and see emeidiatly if its worked and what affect it had.

And there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum where help and advice is readily available.

I will try and add some photos as soon as I am able.
    Thanks again.

Agreed…anyone with half a brain should realize …that of the trillions of planets out there in Universe …the Earth can’t be the only one that’s inhabited

But would it not be genuinely awsome if we were?.…….

Conspirousy theories. I feel that some tragedies, eg Kennedy’s assasination, Lady Diana, 9/11 etc create such shock and surprise that human nature can’t accept that chance or fellow humans could have been so cruel or random.
Looking for conspiracy theories is in a way their way of coming to terms with the horrific occurance. I wonder if a similar thing happens to some people with fantastic acheivements like going to the moon for instance.

    Just a thought.

From the above photo it looks like a really big Cod.

It’s another nessie or is it the nessie perhaps there is an underground tunnel been dug between Loch Ness and here. Perhaps there are a great number of these tunnels connecting large expanses of water, some align with Lay lines.;).

What is it they write here oh yes “I’ll get my coat”.

    Look here:

Although I have no doubt that FL will be a great airshow as allways, I’ll go to Yeovilton this year. My family wanted a change. There will be a Legends next year.

    Dear Gliderspit,
    Thanks for that heads up.
It never crossed my mind to check their web site.
Its very tempting but I have already bought the Flying Legends Tickets.
Now if I can persuade my wife its worth it…..?
    Best regards

I am planning to go. I am over sixty so is good value for me.
The best part for me is to be at the tank driving end when the spitfires and mustangs take of and during the tail chase sequences they all fly almost directly overhead, I love it.

In my ignorance of treaties etc, when I heard the rumblings that the cold war would be starting again and after the sence of dega vu my next thought was will a phantom be allowed to fly now? But from the previous posts it does not look likely. 🙁
