Very nice set 🙂
Looks nice. It would be nice if they took the red bit from the tail livery and put that all the way along the fuselage with the swiss flag by the door.
Thanks very much 🙂 haha I’m glad you enjoyed the nice legs 😉 😎
It was a nice treat to get a look around the hangar. The engineer who showed us around was really nice and friendly.
Sky high, im glad you liked the moth 🙂 Its been there for a while but I assume it will leave eventually.
Very nice 🙂
Part two..

I certainly did…

After a quick engine test she departed.
Nice.
G-CFVO was at Cranfield on maintenance a few weeks ago!
Lovely catch 🙂
Such ashame.
I had a feeling they were gonna do that though.
Air Southwest seemed really promising too when they started out! I remember the days when I was flying light planes around cornwall and would often see their Dash 8’s at Plymouth and Newquay.
One of the instructors at my previous flying school is a pilot with air southwest too, hopefully he will find a new job soon.
If you were lucky you’d see an Il-62 or Tu-154 from further afield. On one of our visits we saw a Tradewinds CL-44 arrive. And if my memory is correct the shorter north east/south westerly runway to the east of the terminals was still used occasionally?!
Sounds like LHR was amazing back then. I grew up by LHR for 16yrs and saw the likes of the BAC1-11’s etc disappear. Im glad I had a chance to see B707’s, B727’s BAC 1-11’s etc before they all disappeared! However I still wish I could of seen LHR in the era in which you saw it.
Regarding to the runway you mentioned, you mean Runway 23? I lived under that runway’s flightpath, the last time I saw it used was December 24th 1999 however it was used again in 2002 I believe. It was NOTAMed as Permanently withdrawn from use in September 2005.
Standard wind requirement for its usage was winds 180 to 250 degrees at a constant 25kts or more.
That was the perimeter fence? Ahh gosh why did I have to be born in the early 80′!!!
