    Great stuff!
I wish Northolt allowed all this when I lived in London.

    Lovely!
I assume that some of the RAF stuff that flew over had previously done a flypast for the queens birthday? I took a trip down to heathrow for my birthday yesterday and saw some of the flypast in the distance.

I hate seeing the B757 replaced! Its one of my most favourite aircraft.

After considering that the primary mission of the E-4 is to be an emergency airborne command post, I hope you will see that the USAF doesn’t routinely publicize where, when, or why one of the aircraft is wherever it is when it happens to be spotted somewhere. Thus, it seems probable we will never know.

Actually I thought maybe someone involved with spotting at Heathrow may know, im somewhat out of the loop studying the ATPL books. If the USAF was using it for a sensitive or emergency situation I doubt Heathrow would of been the airport to land at with Mildenhall the most likely. 🙂

Mark L, that may well explain why its in then 🙂 I sure wish I was there to see it.

I am located not a million miles away from STN and noticed that aircraft also. I am fortunate in having a very powerful set of ‘binos’ with a zoom to match. The aircraft looked like a Cessna 404 or similar and appeared to have a dark panel/aperture beneath the fuselage centre section. Did not look like an Islander. Hope this helps.

It wasnt G-TASK, was it? Mind you I dont know what the underside looks like on G-TASK.

She was flying around the Milton Keynes area on May 22nd.
