    Theres a shortage of pilots?
    Not sure thats true what with the amount of people finishing their training with little prospect of jobs, and multiple airlines having gone bust over the last year. :confused:

    Just been advised that G-MIDY is to be wet leased to Swiss to operate LHR – GVA services

    Does that mean a livery change to swiss? :confused: How long is the lease for?

    Gotta say I was never really impressed with the artists impression of the 787 but now i’ve seen it fly I think it looks beautiful. Love the wingflex.

    I didnt know teletext was going. Thats ashame.
    I hate the new interactive teletext thing on digital as it always freezes on our TV. Earlier this year it was mentioned on points of view that many people had the same problem and all that one of the officials said was ‘the service is much more efficient and faster’ :rolleyes:

    The Shorts 360 your referring to comes into Coventry every night along with a second aircraft from Germany around 30 minutes later. Both these aircraft bring in Cargo for Junghienrich, Siemens, Briggs and also frieght for Lynx which is then driven to the delivery company I drive for DXBusiness Direct. It had a massive effect at our firm as both flights have now been permenantly rerouted to Birmingham International.

    I hope that the permanantly part of the plan doesn’t mean they know something we don’t 🙁

    Thanks for the info! I always wondered what D-CRAS was carrying every night. 😀 Its a shame that its been permenantly rerouted to BHX instead. I hope that Coventry does re-open.

    Any chance of it reopening or will work for housing start next week? 🙁

    Supposing it doesnt reopen, what happens to Air atlantique, RVL etc?
    Also I think theres some nightly cargo flights by a shorts 360 D-CRAS.

    My flying school often send IR students on ILS approaches to coventry.

    I’ve only flown from Coventry once, on G-AMPY.
