    Since flying from Cranfield i’ve really started to appreciate the lightning more – each time I walk past 458 I always have to have a look and admire her.

    Gosh i’d hate to see BMI disappear. I had a great time on work experience with them 10yrs ago at LHR. Now one the instructors at my flying school flies for them too!

    Hopefully they’ll come out of this as BMI still.

    Thanks guys. I’m really glad that you like the shot. The weather was really against us. Poor visibility, low cloud. We watched the French air force A340 come in and that appeared out of cloud somewhere between 200 and 300ft.

    The An225 left earlier today to go back to Kiev.

    Anyway im off to visit my dad in London for a week now. He has no internet so I wont be online until im back home next week.

    I was talking to my mum about this last night, she actually brought this up saying her boyfriend (my old flying instructor) knew the pilot.

    Everytime I go flying I always wonder why councils want to build houses right next to airfields or under flightpaths.. I mean if the council or government members would just go flying and take a lookout of the window they will notice theres lots and lots of big fields to build houses on that are nowhere near airfields. :rolleyes:
