Might be worth asking in the following topic: http://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=13943
Sounds like the most exciting kind of flying around – no answering to the CAA, JAR, JAA, EASA or whoever it is that we’re governed by these days.. 😀

There is good and bad everywhere. It’s almost impossible to weed out every bad apple. The plebgate incident is slowly turning in to a ‘poor tory’ story. Even if he didn’t call the officer a pleb, he admitted to using the F word in an outburst and has been punished for it. He lost his cool over a minor request by the officer, heaven knows what he was like to work with under pressure. Another officer possibly fabricating evidence is very unfortunate and obviously is a serious thing that needs to be investigated.
Also don’t forget that with some of the examples you’ve posted those people were found guilty in court, in front of a judge and jury. The police and the courts are slightly different. If a jury finds a suspect guilty then the judge passes the sentence. There can be inequality in the law, but not always police related, some times it’s more political.
Ironically I’m studying a criminology level 3 diploma at the moment and my current assignment is based on inequality and the law. It states in some of my literature that inequality in the law has existed as far back, and long before, Saxon times, and still exists today. Predominantly the wealthy are more likely to either get away with crime or face smaller penalties than the poorer people. That’s a failure in the law system, the courts and political pressure. The police cannot be blamed for it all.

Lovely shots. Nice to see some real classics in there 🙂
I do miss the BA landor livery. Always liked the A320-100’s, mainly due to their rarity and when they first joined BA they were the oddball of the fleet 🙂
Nice 🙂
Brilliant shots.
Good to see AeroMexico serving LHR now!

Good to see an MD87 still flying around in SAS livery 🙂
