Nice 🙂
Aww nice catch!
What about FlyBe’s Dash 8’s, they are regular!
If possible, get a photo, even a grainy photo will be better than none.
Nice. Although ashame it will probably end up in full BA livery soon, instead of the other way around. Always preferred BMI’s livery.
I know in the 90’s there was a Trident on the fire dump, I think which lead to the area being called ‘Trident turn’ ?
It does sound like it was well done 🙂
Believe it or not, we didn’t actually get as many as we had been planned to at Cranfield.
Nice stuff. Good catch with the B727!
Sounds like the police there were well organised and prepared. 🙂
Nice set.
The Midea gulfstream and N747RL both went to cranfield for overflow parking. 🙂
Brilliant. I wish LHR was still like that and offerred such easy areas to get pics from!
I can see the Bristol Britannia! Great photo. You should make a book about Heathrow with all your photos in it.
I have Heathrow ATC – the first 50yrs, and some of your pics would have been a great addition to that book, so maybe you should make a book with them all in.
Brilliant!
Where did you get that map from, Longshot?
Nice catches. Love the A300!
Thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated! I was born in 1984, so never saw the north side in operation!
Great pics!
Why did LHR get rid of the north side? Is it because parking aircraft so close to the bath road wasn’t really desirable as planes got bigger?
I really wish these people wouldn’t get listened to, especially by the courts. If you live near an airfield, expect noise. We live in an age where loads of people go to study a high level of education yet seem to be utterly stupid in general.
Everywhere i’ve lived i’ve either lived next to a main road, on a road that leads to an industrial estate (sometimes both) or near an airport. Me and my family have never complained about aircraft noise, nor noise from cars, trucks, lorries etc If you can’t put up with the noise, visit a local estate agent and sell!
The court allowing the fine has opened up a can of worms now – residents next to all airfields will probably end up complaining about the blight noise is on their lives.
