    Thats the one, Jim 🙂
    I’ve not seen that photo, but it sounds pretty smart! I will send them an e-mail and ask about it!
    Sounds like it did the trick PR-wise. 🙂

    @EGTC

    They certainly sound like top blokes, and a definite credit to the Navy! It’s a shame all public services don’t follow their lead, they are a shining example.

    They sure are. When I lived in Cornwall they appeared on TV alot, especially after they have had a night of saving fishermen caught up in gales etc. They do seem to get alot of respect and support from the public and they do alot of good PR for themselves like with the stuff I listed above.

    I think Culdrose seems like a good place and workforce in general though. I spent most of my flights down there talking to Culdrose and their ATC were always great and helpful. Also a jetstream pilot was on a course for car maintenance with my mum and he got the whole class a tour of the Merlin maintenance and training facility at Culdrose, I was allowed to tag along and a Merlin instructor took us for a flight in the merlin simulator.

    Can’t speak highly enough of all the RN personnel at RNAS Culdrose.

    I love that photo! 771 sqdrn if i’m not mistaken!
    They are a great bunch! When I did my first solo in 2004 a crew from 771 congratulated me over the radio! 🙂 About a year later a crew from 771 was flying around locally with not much to do radioed in to us at truro and asked if they could give us abit of a display, so we of course was delighted!
    Great crew and a valuable part of the Royal Navy.

    That might explain why I got an e-mail from you with some weird link (I didn’t click the link as i’ve seen those e-mails before from others)
    I think some people think it is funny to cause people such annoying misery.
