In my opinion theres bad female drivers and theres bad male drivers too. I find that men often try to overtake in silly places, like on roundabouts.. whereas women tend to use their phones while driving.
Seriously, for every bad male driver I also see a bad female driver.
Normally it’s the audi drivers that drive poorly.
In the world of equality, and as theres plenty of bad drivers around, young and old, everyone should probably pay the same, unless they are at fault for an accident, then they should be paying more for insurance.

Scott that is hard going mate. Funerals are always hard and it is one of them things where it all seems final. I think that people deal with it in various ways though, like you can always do something to keep your friends memory alive. We built a rockery in our garden to commemorate my grandad when he died in 1996. We put his favourite flowers in it.
My dads mum died in 2009 and every thursday he goes to her grave to make sure all the flowers on it are all looking nice etc.

Perhaps you can find some sort of consolation in doing something similar?

I wasn’t knocking the police. I like them and understand they are in a difficult position, especially when they deal with cuts from the govt etc
As you say, they rarely get highlighted for doing good things, only bad.

A few nights ago the police shut down an illegal rave in MK and had all kinds of things thrown at them. There are not many jobs where you expect that sort of treatment.

It’s not an easy job. Unfortunately society and the job of a police officer has changed in many ways. Society changes and the police service has to addapt.

Sat2, given your location, am I right in assuming you’re a mountie? 🙂

I thought they had their hair cut short or go bald because they deal with all people from those with good hygiene to those with…. head lice?

I notice the stab proof vest has been mentioned a few times. I always thought that was a good addition to the uniform really as it helps with safety. A friend of mine had a few colleagues that were stabbed few months ago and I would take a guess that without the stab proof vest they would probably be dead.

Sorry to hear that Scott. I hope that you are coping okay.
